On My Way (open, Ebony)

Ebony looked back at the trails that they all left behind them. The trail was soon covered by the dust of the sand. The sand out there reminded her of snow. If it were snow, she would like that more bettter than sand. She then looked at Claw and Nygone. Then she looked foward. What ever was coming up next would probably be hell. Or mabey it would be better than what they were going through now. Mabey that Occo brute lost their scent in all the sand, or he is stalking them from a distance.

She quickened her pace and snickered a bit.

Nygone snapped out of her memories and blinked. (all that could have been prevented if I had friends.) she thought. (but I don't really know if I'd call Ebony a friend. Claw, maybe.)

Claw flickered his tail his eyes looked at the horizon and drifted off to the right side. He started to day dream about the hard times he went through. He didn't know where he came from all he remembered was being in an abandoned den as a pup he fended for himself. He looked at the clear sky it reminded him of something but he couldn't remember completely. He looked at the two wolves that were traveling with him he still wondered why he cared so much for their company.

Nygone hopped over a small rock. she looked back at the sand dunes. "Occo's there somewhere." (huh. maybe, if im lucky, he'll get killed in a sandstorm. wait, is it sandstorm season?) she sniffed the air. sandstorms were caused by powerful wind, with was caused by alot of sun. it wasnt very sunny out.

Ebony stopped walking for a moment and looked back at Nygone. "Look. Let's not stay here to find out if he is or not." She walked foward and then narrowed her eyes. "This whole thing is pointless. No matter how far we go, we'll keep going on the same path. Mabey we should turn in another direction. It'll be easier." She looked at Claw and Nygone, not waiting for their permission, but to see if they agreed.

[Ghøšt]

He looked at her and shrugged his shoulders "its not like wandering around is going to help so I'll go with you" he said willingly. He looked at Nygone then back at Ebony ot felt like a million degrees and he was starting to hallucinate things. He knew his mind was playing tricks on him but he knew they had to find somewhere besides desert quickly. "We better hurry the heat is starting to mess with my eyes" he growled.

Nygone nodded. "I don't care where we go, but as soon as we get to shelter or outta this desert, the better." she said. "Occo will heat up quicker because of his large size, and he'll have to shelter as well." she flicked her tail. "anyone see any shelter?"

Ebony slowly nodded and turned back around. She only saw sand. Then she had a idea for herself. "You guys find shelter. I'm just gonna do things my way." She beganto dig a hole. Then when shegot deep enough, she crawled into the hole and burried herself in the sand. Her voice was muffled. "This way I'm safe and hidden.."

Nygone's ears perked up. "that's a really good idea!" she sniffed the sand. "I can't even smell you!" excitedly, she chose a spot in a sandbank a few feet away and began to dig.

Claw shook the sand off his fur he then began to dig but plopped down lazily into the sand. "I'll keep watch up here" he said exhaustedly. He then looked at the skyline where it suddenly began turning different colors. Everything around him started looking vibrant and colorful. Sand that he kicked up turned into a swirling tornado then became a jumbled mass of snakes before dying down. He breathed heavily trying to keep himself under control.

Nygone ran over to Claw. "here, you can go in the one I dug. I can dig another for myself." she nudged him. "come on. Lean on me if you have to."

Ebony could bear voices. She popped up out of the sand. "What's going on-" She looked at Claw. "What the hell.." She then turned to dig deeper for water. She heard that water is found deep in soil. She kicked up a stone. Then she found a bbit of water. "Guys water! Here." She stepped of the hole.

Claw looked at the he knew who they were but they were distorted in his vision. He stood up slowly and tried to stand his legs were shaky but almost immediately fell flat down. "This is why I hate staying in the desert to long" he growled. He crawled over to the hole Ebony had dug and tried to get closer but failed. With all his might he pushed himself close enough to take a lap of dusty water. He savored its coolness before taking a couple more and backing up. "I rest in the open not in a hole" he growled before curling up and falling asleep.

Nygone looked slightly nervous and crawled into her hole. She glanced back at Claw worriedly before curling up. (it would be just my luck for Occo to pop up now. None of us are a match for him right now.) she glanced at the sky. (nights coming. Good.)

Ebony sighed. She would have to keep watch while the others slept. Why would she risk her sleep for acouple of over grown pups? She growled a bit. "Hurry up and go to sleep. I will watch out for the mutt." She gave a glare at them and before they could stop her, she disappeared in the dust of the sand. She would watch from a distance. She layed on a sand dune away from Claw and Nygone.
