The New Life. {Chi/Open}

SHADINO

Yes the Alpha of Leoni had sent Shadino to live in the city for awhile, under the protection of Chi. Chi had been in the pack for awhile now and Alpha Night thought it would be right to spare him and Shadino. Shadino sighed a bit. His feet were all black, along with his body. He had rolled in coal to cover his coat and hide his identity. If someone in the city saw him, they would either kill him or just try to get to know him. Shadino hated both.

"Oh Chi. When will we find a home to sleep in? All of the mutts around here find one, so why is it so hard for us to?"

Shadino used to be a runt with no clue in the world. Now he was a adult, knowing the next big thing as soon as it hit the earth. He looked around the pathetic city. This is definately not Leoni. It is all proper and what not. Leoni could run circles around this dump..so why doesn't father do so? He growled to himself.

"Plus the fact that none of us know where we are going..I have only been here once..that is where I met my cousin. The one who killed my mother.."

He just gave a blank expression to the streets ahead of him.

Chi looked over at Shadino "Sorry that it is taking me so long to find a descent place. I really don't wanna try any of my old haunts cause I might run into someone that might know me. Not that many would make the connection of who you are but its better to be safe then sorry. We don't know yet if they have allies in this city or not. " Chi apologized softly. He was nervous about being back in the city where he was orginally at where he meet Night so much has changed since that night.

He looked over at shadino carefully. " I'd suggest the sewers pipes but i don't think you would want to live there. So we looking for a place that is not only safe but comfortable for you. Me I don't care where we crash I've crashed worse places when my whole pack was killed when i was younger. " How about that house there. He pointed to a abandoned building on the outskirts of town it had no wolf scents and looked like it hasn't been used in forever.

SHADINO

Shadino listened to Chi. He gave a blank sigh and then nodded. Alright. Since we have no choice. Let's just stay where ever we can. Honestly I would have rather stayed in the den while the war was going on. Thanks for this father. Shadino also listened to Chi speak about where they could 'crash'. He gave a nod and then yawned a bit.

"Alright. So? Where do we stay?"

Shadino looked at Chi, as he pointed to a abandoned house. It seemed to be in good condition. A few broken windows, but who needed windows anyway? He padded towards it and sniffed it. No wolves in this one. So far.. Then he gave a nod to Chi and a large grin. He seemed to be satisfied witht he choice Chi made.

"My my. Well done Chi. Now to see the inside for ourselves and decide what we think."

Shadino pushed the door open with his paw. It creaked loudly and echoed throught the abandoned house. He coughed a bit and then sighed again. A bit dusty, but..it'll do for now. He looked around. It was a bit dark. The only light was from a ray of the moonlight that shone itself through a hole in the roof. Shadino padded in and looked around. The only furniture was a old couch. That would have to be their bed. Shadino nodded.

"It's okay. Good enough for me."

The floors were old and wooden. It was as surprise that no one had stayed in the home.

Chi follows Shadino inside the house and looks around. He sees the ragged walls and wooden floor. He takes in the broken windows and looks around there are ways to block off the windows if they needed to. He sees the old couch it looks like it would be confortable. He would sleep on the floor if he has to he's done it in the past. So he didn't mind at all about there not being a lot inside the house. He checked further into the room and found a basement door and headed downstairs. some of the stairs were broken but it was easy enough to get downstairs. He checked out the basement it would do to hide in and had a door leading outside if they ever needed to hide out there was a place they could go. He wasn't expecting any trouble though. He was sure he wasn't on the raidar to be taken out and shadino was camouflaged so they wouldn't be detected.

A black wolf with an orange muzzle and orange stripes on his tail pricked his ears. On the floor below him, he heard pawsteps. oh, bother. That scent masker must have worked a bit too well. With a yawn, he stood and turned to walk downstairs. it's only fitting that somebody decides to take shelter in one of my old buildings. He shook out his fur. They do look so inviting. Unless, maybe its the Horrible Twins, looking for me? He walked to the stairs. better go check. Descending the stairs, he called down. "Hello? Whose there?" better be careful, in case its robbers. But then, who is a match for the great Zaheth? The joke turned bittersweet in his mind. i am getting old, but i won't loose my skills. He rounded the corner and spotted the two male wolves. "Hello there. What bring you here?" he asked politely.

SHADINO

Shadino looked around a bit more. The place seemed so old and deserted. He couldn't help, but scorge around a bit. He used his snout to flip over boards and sniff around. Then he found a unusual photo in a wooden frame. He tilted his head a bit and stared at the photo. It was two boys, different aged and a woman and a man. It was a bit creepy. None of them smiled and they all looked lifeless in their own way. Shadino pulled the photo out with his mouth and layed it on the couch.

"Hey Chi check this out-"

Shadino's hackles raised, as he heard another voice from upstairs. What in the hell? I thought this was abandoned. My bad. Shadino walked up the stairs and sniffed around. Then he heard another voice from behind him. He growled a bit and then turned around to see a male wolf. What a pitty. I thought it would be a female. He had a tendency to growl in his voice. He spoke in the most kindest he could.

"We are staying here. What's it to you?"

Shadino stared at this wolf. Then he looked over at Chi. Does this mean I can kill him? That was the look he gave Chi. He always chose killing over talking. Then again it was more or less the fact that he was raised that way. He hopped on the couch and layed down. He closed his eyes, not concerned with the other wolf anymore.

Chi returned upstairs and blinked when he heard a voice speak out. One that wasn't shadino. Chi looked startled. He though it was abandoned there was no smell anywhere in the building and it didn't look like it been used at all fro the longest time. " We claimed this as our home, there were no scent markers on it. and it seemed abandoned so that it was open for occupancy. May I ask who you are and what you business is here?And why you did not leave a scent marker if you were occupying this house? " He shook his head at shadino he didn't want him to attack. They dinna want to attack or drawl attention to themselves if they could help it. They after all were in hiding so they shouldn't show any skills.

He was curios as to why this wolf didn't leave any markers on the house to say it was his and why he was hiding. It all seemed really strange to him but maybe this wolf was in hiding as well. Should they trust him or should they just move on to a safer place to stay. He looked over at Shadino he seemed to want to stay.

That other wolf must be this Chi. I wonder who these two are, and what they seek. "Oh, it's nothing to me, if you wish to stay here, I won't bother you." I have no need for this decrepit old building anyways. They can gladly have it. Zaheth thought. He watched the younger black male lay down on the couch. I have this feeling I've seen the one called Chi before..…and the black one looks a bit like someone I once saw in the city. he blinked his orange eyes a few times. "Not trying to pry or anything, but are you two from outside the city?" he could tell the black male was a darker character, and might turn out to be a dangerous wolf. Play it safe, Zaheth, play it safe. he sat down on his haunches to show that he meant no harm to them.

[Kei]

"well currently we are from outside the city but we are revisiting the city. My pack used to belong here see they were killed a long time ago by some wolves. And I just brought my friend to the city so I could get in touch with my roots again. After all its been a while since I've been to the homestead. But then we decided to come over to this side of the city so that I wouldn't get depressed by living somewhere close to where i used to live you know. Memories can be nasty things." Chi replied softly. He played it safe and didn't use Shadino's name. Though he knew that ShinHe wasn't sure what kind of connections this wolf had. He wasn't even sure if he seen him before or not its been a while since he was here last. He eyed the wolf suspiciously but relaxed a little as he laid down. He didn't seem to want to hurt them just seemed curious. "Has the City changed much lately?" He asked softly.

SHADINO

Shadino listened to the wolf speak and Chi got him back. Chi's words were like fangs digging into the wolf. Shadino liked that about Chi. He was such a good speaker. Shadino looked at the male wolf. He then gave a blank sigh. Then he listened to the male wolf talk again. This one seems to not want to put a paw on us. Lucky him. He watched Chi, as he replied back to the male's question. Then Chi asked another question. So Chi's pack was killed. Yes. It makes sense. That is how my father and Chi met. Shadino had heard the story a couple times when he was a pup. Not in detail though.

"Hmph. As Chi said. We will reside here for now. I guess we can let you stay if you are strong enough to fight.."

He didn't let people live with him, unless they had a soul purpose to him. He decided that this wolf might be a guard of the house while him and Chi were gone. Or a simple maid to clean up. Haha. Such a mind of wisdom. Shadino laughed a bit and then got quiet and serious. He didn't want to stay at the house all day. Why not explore a bit?

"I'm heading out."

Shadino rose off of the couch and padded down the stairs. He started heading out the door.

Zaheth's eyes flickered. "I remember you. That's where I heard the name from." he shook his head. "I'm sorry you had to loose your family that way." he could have been a great assassin if I had heard about him earlier. What a pity. Oh well. "You ask of the city has changed?" he chuckled a bit. " I'm afraid not. It is the same old pile of junk, full of drunks and who-knows-what that it used to be. Not much changes here, and I doubt it ever will." he noticed the other wolf get up to leave. good. I never liked him anyways. "This isnt my house, or anyone else's. I was simply residing here and scouting it as a possible rest point and wil gladly vacate if you wish." he stretched one of his legs. "I run a big buisness in this city, but I don't require this building." at least not yet. his assassins were growing fast. I must hold the next test soon.

[Kei]

"That good that it doesn't belong to anyone. And its a shame that the city is still the same messed up place as when I left it. After all I have just been roaming about. I'm surprised that you've even heard of me but then the big massacre was probably big news here before I left." He signs softly. " I guess losing my family was just meant to be so i could grow into my own wolf. " He watched Shadino get up and leave to go exploring he hopped the he wouldn't go far not until they set up a system and meeting places in case things went south and they had to separate for some reason or another. " like my freind said your more then welcome to hang if you wish wouldn't wanna push you out if you were staying here first there is after all plenty of room. And i suspect you wouldn't be in a hovel such as this if you didn't have a reason to go off the grid. " Chi eyed the wolf and wondered what his story was.

Zaheth nodded. "News travels at the speed of light sometimes, especially in a place with such a large population." he paused to quickly scratch his ear. "And killings travel even faster. Fear spreads rumors." And all killings not done by my assassins always come to me. Of course, Scourge and Stoner helped with this one. I remember now; they helped this Chi get revenge. He was with another wolf as well......what was his name again? He looked hard at Chi. "Nothing is ever meant to be, set in stone. Don't believe your family had to die, because they didn't." he cocked his head. "Sill me, going into lesson mode again." he sighed. "I've been teaching for too long. I really should be thinking about retirement." But it's hard when you love your job. he let his tail swish around a bit. "I'm glad you're not going to kick me out." he said with a chuckle. It would have been worse for you. "But i do have buisness to get back too....." he stood. "It's not urgent, but I do suspect you friend, though his intentions may not be bad, wants me to leave."

Chi nodds softly when the wolf says he has to go cause he has other business to take care of. "He's not used to the city is all. And he's used to having his way. who knows he might warm up to you more likely he won't warm up to you unless he thinks your useful for something. Or prove yourself to be a friend or Allie. " After all we don't really know each other that well and the safest thing is to be untrusting of each other till we learn about each other and see if we trustworthy. " Chi shrugs softly though it always kills him inside to not be trusted for what he worth he understands the ways of the city. Most people and wolves in the city would turn on your for any amount of money or food or comforts that they could not afford so it is wise always to tread lightly in the city and to never really step on anyone's toes if you can help it.

SHADINO

Who did that wolf think he was? He could have been a killer. Anything. Then, Chi, tells Shadino not to kill him? It wasn't Chi's fault. It was that wolf. Shadino growled a bit and then he looked up the street. There was another wolf. She looked as if she was pregnant. Shadino's eyes looked surprised. He hadn't had that look in awhile. He just stood there. Then the female fell down to the ground. Shadino didn't just want to leave her there. Though it wouldn't be a bad idea. Dammit. I just have to help her. Maybe Chi can.. Shadino ran to her.

"Hey. Are you..um..okay?"

Arumi, the female on the ground, looked up at Shadino with dull eyes. She growled a bit. Then she rose up again and almost stumbled to the ground. Shadino helped her stay up and then her led her to where him and Chi were currently residing. Arumi looked un-easy. One of the perks of being pregnant I guess. Shadino came in the door with Arumi leaning on him. He looked at Chi.

"We need help. I found her on the street."

Shadino let Arumi lay on the couch. He stared at her and then looked at the male wolf. I wonder if this was done by him..no. He wouldn't have the balls to get anyone pregnant. He sighed a bit and then looked down.
