Scar was jittery with exitement about seeing his pups for the first time in years. He hoped that they had grown up into fine, strong young wolves. The descriptions Vera had given made them out as such. He headed toward a private den on the edge of camp, where the tunnel down was long and the walls were thick. Nobody would overhear them. He set a quick pace through the camp. The sun was barely above the horizon, shining yellow rays on the baked earth. His paws kicked up small puffs of dust as he enteed the coolness of the den. He could barely contain t=his exiement and joy of this meeting.
Tyra was feeling different. She didn't like her mother, and hated her siblings. She wanted no connection at all to them. But, she did want to meet her father. wait and see what he is like. she padded towards the den.

Vera was creeping along slowly behind Scar, her mate. She wanted to cough at the dirt he sent in her face, clearly eager to meet their offspring. Wondering what he would think of them, she hoped he disliked Tyra as much as she did, and exiled her from the family. The thought of that made an evil smile dart across her maw, daring to show its self in the teetering sunlight. Why didn't they meet at night? Wait, that was a silly thought, more Leoni wolves where about at that hour anyway...
Traveling a little behind Trya, Lash and Ripfang kept their pace towards the secret meeting place consistent, not wanting to trail behind their sister too far, but not wanting to be on her tail either. Their ears pricked, their shoulders brushed with uneasy tension. They didn't know what to expect anymore. They knew their parents would be getting older, and grayer, but other than that, they knew nothing about them. Just keeping a hold of their sister's fur was all they could do.

Scar sniffed around the dusty floor for a moment until he was satisfied with his seat. With a sigh, he plopped down onto the ground, feeling his shoulder pop. "Damnit, i ain't getting any younger." he shifted his paws slightly, getting his should into a more comfortable position. good thing for Fathom's exercises.... he licked down an unruly patch of fur. His yellow eyes spotted Vera through the dust. "oops. Hehe. Sorry about the dust." He wagged his tail. "Im just exited, that's all." exited was a good word for it. i wonder what they'll be like.....Vera said that Ripfang looked like me....I wonder if he has my broad shoulders. Lash sounded like me as well, a big female. White, thought. LIke her sister..... he growled inside his head. A Horkio wolf. And then, The last one.....Tyra, black and grey and white. She sounded like a little rebel to me. Vera didn't seem to like her.
Tyra looked back at her siblings almost comtempously before entering the den.

Vera smirked and gave Scar a friendly smile. "That's ok." She sneezed, padding into the den next to her mate, pelts touching. "I know you're excited, but don't expect too much. They have been under the training of Zaheth." Her expression turned grim, coldness flashing through her intimidating golden orbs. She shuffled her paws in the dirt, drawing a little picture. She looked down, trying to figure it out what it was. She swpt her paw over it, erasing its existence.
Ripfang met Tyra's gaze, narrowing his eyes and forcing his lips to stay over his teeth. If it was one thing, he did not want to have a reunion with Tyra. Lash was all he needed, and he was contempt to stay like that.
Lash looked at Ripfang and Tyra's eyes meet for a split second, and flicked her ears. She saw her lethal body enter the den, smelling strongly of her parents. She missed the scent, longing to be near them again. Another part of her wanted to go back to the city though. Now was not the time to turn back, she had to face this pack.

Scar's eyes took on a misty look. "I knew Zaheth/ He would have taken good care of them. They probably are vey good fighters then." he looked at Vera. "You dont seem happy about that arrangement. From what you told me before, the Scratch Sisters took good care of you and your pups." he saw the anger in her golden eyes. "Zaheth means no harm. It's all for the better." I wonder what has made her so snappy..... he had his own private thoughts about Zaheth, bu overa he respected the wolf.
Tyra walked down the tunnel, catching the scent of her father. She had never seen him before. I wonder if he looks like one of us.....I know I look kind of like Vera, and Lash like Vera's sister...Didnt Vera say he looked like Ripfang? she mentally shrugged. whatever. If he turns out just like her, it won't matter. I've left and family anyways. No ties to them. she remembered the pain of scraping the skin off the bottom of her footpad to rid herself of the little star marking. She entered the den and looked into the darkness.

Vera just shook her head in dipair. He would think what he wanted, but she had no trust or kindness in her soul for the demon wolf in the depths of Sorrid City. The place really did live up to its name. She hated being there... Curling her tail around her paws and sitting up streight as she waited for her pups arival was sending a chill through her tender spine. She knew what to expect, but did they? The three of them probably wouln't know what to make of their father, and he probably was thinking of what they might be like. Whatever, she didn't care much.
At the mouth of the den, the pair stood there and excahnged a short glance. Ripfang nodded, and they entered the den, Lash being the last to enter. They blinked a few times, getting used to the darkness from the small entrance. Ripfang lead Lash closer to their mother, and sat down a tail legth away from her, the sibblings brishing shoulders.

Scar stood and walked over to this pups. He looked at the male, the big brown one with the yellow eyes and broad shoulders. this must be Ripfang. He moved his eyes to the female right next to him, the white one. this must be Lash. Wow, she's big for a female. Finally, he moved to the black and grey and white female sitting apart from the others. and this must be Tyra. Man, she's a striking one. he noticed some scars hidden in her fur. hmmm. I hope she hasn't been having affairs. He stepped back , his yellow eyes shining. "Welcome home, my children." he looked at each one of them. "My, how you have grown into such strong young wolves! I'm so glad i've finally met you."
Tyra sat away from her siblings. she stood still, letting her father inspect her. i hope he's not like Vera. Well, he seems to like me, judging by the admiring looks and words he's given out to us.

Vera watched as her mate looked over their pups. Lash really had gotten big. Huge, actually. Her eyes met hers, and she could sense the love coming from them. Her favorite was Lash, and it probably always would be. Meeting eyes with Ripfang was like looking into Scar's eyes, except younger. She loved the was he turned out, and he and Lash seemed to be almost the same size, Ripfang a little taller. She tried to stare down Tyra, though, nt knowing what would happen. Hatred still gathered up inside her when she remembered what she did as a pup...
Ripfang looked into almost a mirror of him, but the one he was looking at was a little more frail, and had gray fur sprouting from his muzzle. They met, eye to eye, and Ripfang gave him a respectful nod as he looked over his body that matched him in almost every way.
Lash, on the other hand, seemed to be overlooked, even though her massive size told another story. The one he seemed to be focused on the most was their sister. The one who had beat them and tried to take control of their family. Well that wouldn't happen. Ripfang would after their father no longer had the strength to. Yes, their mother was still mush younger than him, but surly older than all of them, wouldn't mind with Ripfang in being the head male.

Scar immediately took a likeing to Ripfang, admiring the strength he showed. He was satisfied that Lash had turned out big and muscular as well. Tyra was the only slim one, but Scar could sense her dangerous soul. ohhh! A little fighter, she is! he wondered why Vera seemed to dislike her so much. ah, females. Whatever. he looked at each pup in turn. "you must tell me everything. How were the Scratch Sisters? Did you meet the Horrible Twins? Is Zaheth doing well? I heard you met him." he swept his gaze from Ripfang to Tyra. "What was the city like?"
Tyra met her mothers eyes defiantly. She stated back in an even-minded sort of way. Moving slowly and deliberately; she lifted up her paw, the one whose pad she had mangled, and showed the fading scar tissue and little sliver of white that was all that remained of the star on her paw that her siblings shared. I am not one of you.

Vera held her gaze as her own daughter lifted up the paw for her viewing pleasure. How could she? The deformed white star that had appeared on one of their pads. She drew back her teeth, bringing her yellow orbs back to Tyra's, and gave a little click of her teeth, as if to say, You're not welcome in this family after this... Tail swishing, she felt like all of her anger would pour out of her, and melt whatever it desired.
As Ripfang and Lash were bombarded with questions, they were confused of what to answer first, and who should speak. Lash gave a look to Ripfang, giving her approval for him to tell their father the answers to his questions.
"Whoa, that's a lot of questions..." He hadn't meant to say that aloud, but once he had, he blushed, although no one could see that trough his brown pelt.

Scar started coughing, making hacking noises. Moments later, he rolled over on the ground, laughing with mirth as quiet as he could. "i don't know whats so funny about that, but something is!" He sat back up, regaining his composure. "I haven't laughed that much in a long time!" He waved a paw. "Oh, don't worry about answering all my stupid questions. Just pick one." he put his airborn paw over his muzzle. "Im too exited." Indeed he was, finding some puppyish feeling inside him at the first sight of his pups that he had never had before.
Tyra remained aloof, showing only a haughty look to her mother as she put her paw down. Turning, she looked back at her father. "The Scratch Sisters were very nice, father." Even thought Vera didn't like them. "And we did meet the Horrible Twins. They were funny." She remembered the little black wolf and his big but stupid grey brother.

Ripfang eyed his father with confusion. He seemed to be either too up-tight about his pups being here and meeting them, or something was bothering him. He didn't know if it was even either of the two, but something just seemed out of place about him. Or maybe it was just the fact that he was getting old and a little scatter brained. Stuttering a little before he thought of which question to answer, he finally spoke up, not making eye contact with him. "Um, well, I briefly met the Horrible Twins and Zaheth seems to be sane at the moment." He didn't know if his choice of words were appropriate to him, but that's really what was on his mind.
Lash watched her father chuckle a little, taken back, and leaned farther away from him out of instinct. Was there something wrong with him? It almost seemed like this "gathering," so to speak, was on the awkward side. She hoped they would get out of here soon and be able to meet the pack.

Scar gave his fur and shake and groomed a few patches down. "I'm glad to hear that you all had a good time in thE city, or as good of a time that one can have in a place like that." Sorrid City was a dirty, dark place indeed, but he had nowhere else to turn to if he had wanted to save his unborn pups from the Alphas of Leoni. He noticed that Ripfang seemed confused and Lash was leaning away from him, like she was scared. "What? Did I say something wrong?" he looked confused, then slightly sad. Do they not like me?
Tyra ignored pretty much the rest of the conversation, but looked up when she heard the confusion in her father's voice. Scar was ok to her, she liked him enough. Probably was better back in his day, though...... she flicked her tail a few times.

Ripfang nodded, a convincing smile crept across his maw. He knew life in the city was always a bit rough, but it was doable. He missed it a little already, but was eager to know what it was like to be a part of a pack. He looked at his sister, hoping he would respond to their father's question.
Lash glanced back at Ripfang, knowing he wanted her to speak to Scar since he had already done so before. "No, nothing at all." She tried her best to make her voice sound cheery, and hoping it was good enough for him.
Vera watched as her pups and Scar conversed. She got the hint of a little awkwardness, knowing Scar wasn't doing his best not to creep them out by acting funny. She didn't know if something was bothering him, so she made a mental note that she would ask him when they were alone.

Scar seemed relieved that his pups didn't seem to actually be afraid, or hate him outright. I must be becoming all crazy and sedimental. They must think I'm a total crackup. he scolded himself at his puppyish behavior. no more yipping and panting! Time to be the real Scar, Scar of Leoni! he straightened his back. "if you did well in the city, you are sure to do well here." he flicked his ears. "we are nearing a battle against the cowardly wolves of Horkiro. I expect all three of you to fight in this war like true, red-blooded Leoni wolves!" he added a bit of growl to his voice. "the battle will be your time to prove your worth to the others, especially Alpha Night."
Tyra sat up straighter. A war with another pack? Now this was getting interesting. Time to pay attention.
