New life... (open, Fathom, Ralph, Monarchy.)

Fathomless Darkness stood above the valley, letting the wind whistle through his fur. He looked down at the green landscape of Ichio, smiling slightly. (this place looks better than all of Leoni put together.) he thought. A hawk cried in the distance, echoing up to his satin-black ears. Blinking his colorless eyes, he lifted back his head and howled.

Monarchy followed after Ralph and Fanthom. She smiled, slightly as she came upon Ichio. Then her eyes widened. "This place looks familiar..." She tilted her head. "Why?" Then she shook her head. She looked at the land.

Ralph looked at Fanthom and Monarchy. He sighed, feeling tired. "What? Are we here already?" He looked at the land. Then he looked over to Monarchy, then he whispered to Fanthom. "What's with her?"

"She's remembering." Fathom said to Ralph. "in teenager language, zoning out." he chuckled. "and yes. we are here. the land of Ichio. our new home." he began to descend into the valley. "Come on!"

Ralph looked at Monarchy and then he raised an eyebrow. When Fanthom began to walk, Ralph tilted his head. "Remembering what?" Then he followed after Fanthom. "Well if this is gonna be our new home..shouldn't we have a den?" He looked around.

Monarchy thought for a moment. Then Fanthom's voice interrupted her. She looked ahead and watcheed the two wolves go. Then she slowly followed behind them. "There should be a den in those rocks over there." She took a guess at it, hoping that it would be true. Her mind told her it was. She walked ahead and there was a den.

"Whoa, good find." Fathom nosed around in the entrace. "it hasn't been used for ages." he looked around. "this almost looks like.....the old remains of a camp!" he pointed with his ail. "there's a den there, and there, and a caved in one there...."

Monarchy nodded. "So a pack lived here before.." She looked around and then a flash of the pack went through her mind. She looked around. "Wait..what Night said before..about my pack.." She looked down. "He said I was born in Ichio and that their packs fought..Ichio lost.." She narrowed her eyes.

Ralph looked at Monarchy. "You spoke with Uncle Night? He is bad news..a good girl like you shouldn't associate with him.." He nodded twice before looking over to Fanthom. "Right?" Then he looked at Monarchy in silence.

Fathom shrugged. "Night is an odd wolf. I don't think he's on anybody's side but his own. He's the kind of guy that would betray his friends for fun, in my opinion." he snuffled around a bit more. "a pack deffinetly lived here, and fought here."

Ralph listened to Fanthom. "Right. He is just playing his own little game. The world is basically his game board and we are all the pieces.." He looked down in sadness. "To think someone would be so twisted to think that way..that's why we left. Huh Fanthom." He looked at FAnthom, smirking.

Monarchy stood quietly. "Hmph. He will be hard to defeat then..by myself." She sighed and looked at the dens. She padded inside one. "Better rest up."

Fathom nodded to Ralph. "a crooked wolf has crooked followers. even lowdown dirty rules like such Leoni has don't matter when it comes to matters of anger and pride. Night and Eve and the others never liked me much and took the chance they got to be rid of me." he spotted Monarchy padding away. "She has the right idea, Ralph. better rest up, its getting late."

Ralph nodded. "Right. I guess even travelers have to rest. Heh." He padded into the den after Monarchy. Then he layed down in a corner by himself. He yawned and closed his eyes. "Goodnight guys. See you tommorow." He slowly fell asleep.

Monarchy looked at Ralph as he fell asleep. She looked away and then she went and layed in a corner. She kept her head up and looked at Ralph. "Where is his parents? A pup that young should have someone to watch him.." She couldn't talk, for things being the way they were with her. No parents, but a gang to watch her.

Fathom walked into the den. "From what i know, Ralph's father left him with Leoni. im not sure of the facts." he chose another corner for himself and smoothed it off with his tail before sitting down. "His father is Night's brother. i dont know who his mother is."

Monarchy nodded. "I see...I knew that they were related..by the markings.." She layed her head down and sighed. "His father just left him to Leoni like that? That isn't the safest place for a pup.." She didn't got to sleep but she looked away.

Ralph opened his eyes and growled a bit. "I left..to go join Leoni..then when I stepped into the territory there was no turning back..when I saw how vile and gruesome Leoni was..I wanted to leave..but it would be too hard to face my father again..to even leave the border.."

"don't worry about your father or Leoni now." Fathom said to Ralph. "you're growing into a fine young wolf. You'll be able to deal with whatever comes your or our way." he curled up, putting his tail over his nose. "right now, you should get some sleep. Tomorrow will be the time to explore."

Ralph shrugged. "Whatever..." He got into a more comfortable pose, with his legs stretched out more. He slowly went to sleep.

Monarchy listened to them both. She layed her head back down, as they both went to sleep. Then she thought.. 'So Ralph left his father? I wonder why? If I could stay with my....family, I would have." She sighed. "The world is so different then what it seems was back when I was a pup.." She said in a low voice. Then she slowly closed her eyes and fell asleep.
