The sun rose , casting it's auburn light over the valley. A robin chirped nearby. Fathom blinked open his colorless eyes and spotted the sun streaming into the den. He gave a big yawn and stood, stretching. Peering out of the den, he spotted a deer grazing on the edge of the old camp. (wow, this camp must have been abandoned forever for deer to be comfortable coming here!) he thought. (all the better for us.) he looked back at his companions.

The sun hit Monarchy in the face. She opened her eyes and gave a big yawn. "Hm?" She sniffed and could smell a familiar scent. She rose up and stretched, cracking her joints. Then she got on all fours and looked at Fanthom. "Good Morning..I didn't know any deer came here. This place is amazing..." She looked at Ralph who was still asleep. She then padded out of the den and crouched low, stalking a deer. Then she picked up a rock in her mouth and threw it on some old sticks, making a noise. The deer looked around and ran past the grass, where Monarchy was. When The deer was focused on running in her direction, she punced on the deer and bit it's leg. It fell to the ground.
Ralph awoke to the sound of deer running. He rose right up and his eyes widened. He smirked and darted out of the den. Then he ran towards one of the trees close up. He climbed up it and waited for a deer to go under him, so he could pounce on it.

Fathom ran over and swiftly killed the deer Monarchy had downed. "nice catch." he lifted his nose to the air. "let's take advantage of this before the deer leave." he ran outside, going around back of the small herd, which consisted of four others, three does and a buck. Barking furiously, he scared them into the camp.

Monarchy nodded in return. Then she watched as Fanthom barked at the deer. She smirked and shook her head, Then she went iunder the tree where Ralph was. She looked up and saw Ralph, waiting for a deer. Monarchy chuckled. "Ralph..you must not wait for the prey to come to you, you must go after the prey. It's funner that way.."
Ralph looked at Monarchy and then he climbed back down. He stood by Monarchy. Monarchy smirked and got ready to run. "Like this.." Then she darted after Fanthom, and the heard of deer. Ralph smiled and ran after them as well. He laughed. "Woo hoo!"

One of the does swerved sharply and crashed through the camp wall bushes. The other three darted for the exit. Fathom slipped into Slow Time and blocked the entrance. The two does swerved away, but the buck faced him, antlers down. "Ralph! Monarchy! Take care of the does. Ive got this bugger."

Monarchy sighed and slowed down. "Leaving us with the does eh?" She snorted. "Hmph. Fine. Ralph. This would be great for you. Just get the doe on the right. Okay?" She ran after the doe and got side to side with it. Then she jumped sideways and bit the doe on her back, pinning her down.
Ralph nodded. "Okay." Then he ran after the doe. He wasn't fast enough. He wasn't able to keep up witht the doe. He growled and tried harder, then he ran up behind the doe and smirked. "I did it! I-" The doe lifted up her fee and kicked Ralph in the face. He flipped over and hit the ground.

"Ralph!" Fathom dashed around he buck, dodging his antlers. The terrified doe vanished, the buck following. Fathom nosed Ralph. "Ralph! Are you ok?" he looked down worriedly at the young wolf.

Monarchy ran to Ralph. "Are you okay pup?" She watched him, with worried eyes. Then she frowned. "That was some kick..." She didn't want to say it, but mabey he should have stayed in the tree. She waited to see if he would move.
Ralph groaned. "Ow..That really hurt." He slowly got up onto his hind legs and sat down. "That doe got away easily..next time she is dead meat.." He had a growl in his voice. "No more trees for me, the time for revenge is now.." He stared at where they ran off. "I'm still hungry.."

Fathom looked behind himself. "we got two does to eat, so dig in." he looked at Ralph. "don't worry about the does. You'll catch them next time."

Ralph nodded. "Okay. Well let's eat.." He put his head down and let Fanthom and Monarchy go first. He stayed behind. Then he waited for permission to go.
Monarchy slowly went towards her doe and looked at Ralph, as he stayed back. She dragged the doe to Ralph and sat it down infront of him. "Here. This is for trying. Eat it." She smiled at him and winked. Then she waited for him to eat.

Fathom nosed around the other doe. "hmmmm..... We news a place to store extra food...." he looked back at Ralph and Monarchy. "you two can eat. I'll join you in a minute." he began to nose around some more for a possible place to put the other caracass.

Ralph nodded soon after Monarchy did. Monarchy smiled. "Try not to wonder off too far." She smirked and winked. Then she began to eat. She looked at Ralph as he took a bite as well. She swallowed. "So tell me. Do you know what Night was talking about? Do you know anything about this place?" She looked curious.
Ralph's eyes widened and he swallowed. "Well..I did hear something. I happen to hear alot around there. I heard that there was a war here a long time ago. That alot of the wolves were killed and that there was a....well that's all I know..." He looked guilty and nervous. Then he put his ears down. "I'm not that hungry..."

Fathom pushed his nose under a overhanging bush. There was a suitable dip in the ground that he hauled the deer over to and put in for later eating. The bush would keep the scavenging birds away. He turned around, satisfied with his work, and walked back ot Ralph and Monarchy.

Monarchy looked at Ralph. He knew something that she didn't. He wasn't going to tell her now though. She sighed and looked at Fanthom as he came back. "That was quick, huh Ralph?" She looked at Ralph, smiling a bit.
Ralph couldn't look at Monarchy any more. Not the way that he did before. He nodded. "Yeah..it was quick.." He rose up. "Look, I'm tired." He began to pad towards the den and then he remembered it was still day. He sighed and kept going.
