Anko padded away with night then continued to speak..
"Shouldnt.... hmmm... shouldn't i have my own group of hunters by now?" she said, with a bit of concern and anger mixed into her voice.

Scar thought about advancing. he was a Guard, so obvesly he would get advanced if he saved someone from something. hunting something big, maybe. it was worth a try, because he couldn't exactly make someone attack Leoni. he crept torwards the elk herd and spotted the lead buck.

Scar sat for a bit. "hmph. i dont feel like waiting for an attack to gain rank, but its not like i can make an attack happen without discovery....im not suppost to be a hunter, but i guess it's worth a try." he positioned himself.

Chi watched Scar from the shadows quietly. He knew that the wolf was trying way to hard to succeed and therefor will never make it ahead. He would never raise in rank for trying to only by natural talent and chance would he but he insisted on trying and forcing his way to a higher rank. Chi shook his head it was sad and he even started to feel sorry for a wolf who was gonna be trying so hard to advance in a way that would insure he never did.

Night padded up behind Chi and noticed Scar in the distance. "Chi. Good afternoon." He said in a low voice. "What is Scar doing? Is this how he plans on going higher in ranks?"

Chi turned and bowed his head to Night " Apparently so, He is trying way to hard to advance and please you. he should just be patient and wait and earn it by his own skills and mirth and natural achievements. He wants it to badly I believe. " Chi peeked over to Night. " When you wish for something you strive for it but sometimes you strive to hard and injure you chances. "

Night gave a smurk to Chi, with a raised eyebrow. "Well if he gets hurt...it will be one less person to worry about.." He gave a nod to Chi. "I want you to do me a favor Chi..keep an eye on Scar and let me know of any recent things he does..." He whispered to Chi. "And watch for Fantom.." He padded off.

Fathom nudged Scar. "hey, forget about it. you'll advance eventually. they can't ignor you forever."
Scar sighed. "well, lets not give up a good hunt. go for the old female elk."
Fathom rotated his ears. "one sec." he turned his head. "Chi, wish to join us?"

Night watched from a distance. His scent was covered so no one would notice him. He peered at the three wolves. He could tell Scar was discouraged, but it was Leoni.

Chi bowed to Night "As you wish Alpha Night." He replied respectfully. He watched as Night padded away from his a good distance and watched the two again with his sharp eyes. His eyes narrowed softly unseen by the others cause he was to far away for them to see his look as he was invited to hunt with them but he smoothed the look away and padded over to them cheerfully. "Oh yes I always love a good hunt. "He bounded down quietly his paws not even stiring a leaf in his wake. Chi had been getting better with the training he had received from Thorne even doing extra practice ever day.
