Dry, death earth, it was a familiar sight. A black and white female padded silently into Leoni territory. It had been nearly 2 years since she had set foot on this land. Now she was returning, her plan to take what was rightfully hers. Her father will have grown soft in the time she spent away, aging and weakening. Her siblings, if they still lived would be pushovers when it came to taking her place. Shadino was the main thread as the heir to Leoni, however she didn't fear her brother. She had allies inside Leoni that would defend her as the true leader.
She walked silently but did not try to conceal herself. She doubted that many of the members would recognise her as one of the alphas three pups. She planned to to confront them but greet them like long lost friends. There was no point in making enemies just yet.
Sniffing the ground, the scent was stronger west and as she looked she saw the familiar mound of stones where the alphas dens where. She continued to walk towards her target, not bothering to check for Leoni members. If they attacked, her father and siblings should still be loyal to her even though she had been gone awhile.

Not even the sight of the same old barren platform of dirt had made the sleek black figure stop to stare. He just kept pacing back and forth, giving three or four steps with each turn. A slight swish of his tail allowed him to stop pacing and look up at the sky. He gave a slight look down, before giving a daring smirk. His voice was a low purr. "Honestly my darling Sullivan. Did you ever think that I would survive a full war, while keeping at least one pup in my reach? It's fortunate you had been put down. If not, then the pups would have been nurtured and groomed-" He cut off and sat on his hind quarters, giving a look to where he had waited outside the den, as the pups were being born. His eyes narrowed a bit, as he hushed about Sullivan. Even though he had hated all things that usually walked in his way, Sullivan had actually been the first thing that he wanted to walk in his way.
His eyes became even more dimmed. Speaking of those little demons. I wonder how my heir is doing in that big city. He should be older now. As for those other two.. I'll just stop there. He rolled his eyes a bit, keeping a annoyed expression. Then he sat up straight, on all fours. Turning from his view of the land, he walked towards the mouth of the cave. Something, somewhere made him stop in his tracks and listen carefully.
His right ear twitched, as he sat up straight. He knew that a presence was just lurking near. That was just perfect. The scent was no surprise to him actually. It was his little piece of the offspring. Farrah. Night kept his eyes looking into the empty den. Only a small curve of his lips made his eyes look back. He remained his standing pose and awaited for Farrah to become in his sight.

Farrah padded through the dust towards the dens. She could see eyes peering at her through the dust brought up from the wind. She smirked, as she sought out a familiar pair of ice blue eyes among them. No sign yet. She bared her teeth slightly in a half grin before making her way to the alphas den. There stood the old fool himself, acting like he didn't know she was there by the looks of it. She called up to him, her voice husky with a slight purr. 'Dear father, it's been too long...'. She Swung her tail from side to side, curling the tip around like a cat.
In the shadows another familiar face emerged finally. Raven fur with a blue tint and striking blue eyes. Thorn grinned at the arrival of her old apprentice. Her shadowy eyes somewhat brightening at the sight of her favorite students appearance. What the Rema of Leoni would give to test her now, after being away for a good year or so, she hoped the youngster had not given up training. She stalked forward, the long fur along her back standing on end with excitement.

Night just kept to himself. It was embarrassing for him and Sullivan that Farrah showed up uninvited. Once he saw Farrah approaching closer, Night turned towards her, eyes stern as ever. Then he gave a dashing grin, showing not one sight of his teeth. Only the slight humming of laughter could be heard after she spoke. Then his voice, as deep as it was, sounded light. "Not long enough my darling.." Once he sensed Thorn near, he knew this was going to be a reunion he would never forget. Never. He raised his eye brow a bit in annoyance, as he spoke again. "It's too bad really. Your brother and sister aren't here to see you return. I think they would have been so..". He held off for a moment and then spoke one word. "Pleased."
He looked up and down at his creation. It was almost demonic and Night liked it. It was too bad that his daughter would not be able to claim his place. His eyes dimmed, as he watched the rest of the pack wolves surround them. Then he stepped forward and snapped quietly. "Leave us." With in minutes, the crowd of pack wolves cleared out, leaving Night, Thorn and Farrah. "So why have you returned daughter?"

Farrah smirked at the 'not long enough' remark. Did the old man feel his authority slipping maybe? No matter. When he spoke of her siblings her grin widened. 'I'll bet they missed me; they love their liddle sister..' She glanced around as more pack members came to watch then got sent away immediately. It was then that from the corner of her eye she saw her favorite Rema stood behind her. Thorn remained while the others left. She wondered why Thorn and the other two had stayed. Although they each held pack ranks, their loyalty was to Sullivan exclusively. Surely upon her death they would have left.
Thorn sat down behind Farrah, studying her while she and alpha Night spoke. She had waited for the young Farrah to return. Now that she had she could see even more potential for expanding her evil. A bit more difficult to control though.
Farrah turned back to her father. 'I just wanted to see you and my dear siblings, father. How I've missed you... I have old friends here also.' She turned to Thorn.

Once Farrah was finished speaking, Night looked as Thorn sat behind Farrah. Night let out a blank sigh. Then he shook his head a bit, narrowing his brows. He looked at Farrah and began to speak. "Oh my dear, I assure you. Your siblings aren't coming back for awhile. At least not that other female of whose name I do not care about." He paused, letting a smirk appear on his face. "As for your brother.." He let his smile fade, as he stepped down towards Farrah and Thorn, standing five feet away. "Your brother is returning. If he isn't dead yet, he should be back soon."
He looked at Thorn, then slowly back to Farrah. If all else had faded, this pack would have been nothing. That war was just a mere distraction. What really struck Night was that Farrah returned not long after the war. What did she really want? He wouldn't let it bother him for now. He turned away from Thorn and Farrah, padding up towards his den. He stopped again and looked back. "Farrah, you should consider yourself lucky. I'm actually gonna let you stay. When your brother returns, that's his decision.."
As the night grew more and more across the sky, the buff black figure headed onto the border of Leoni. His purple orbs scanned the area. Then he slowly made his way towards the alpha's dens. He took his time in returning to the home he was dropped in. Once he got close enough, he heard familiar voices that were emerging from the dens. He let a small smirk appear on his face. Curving his lips into a full smile, he listened a bit, before going. Shadino knew he was home after he heard the last word come out of his father's mouth.
He stared at the two females who were closer to him. He didn't recognize the younger one, only the older female popped in his head. Her name was Thorn. He looked up to the male, who spoke. Night. Hmph. Older than ever.. His orbs then looked at the younger female again, then he shook his head. He stepped out after Night had walked towards the den. His eyes were locked on Night, ignoring the other two. He just stood there, sitting up straight.
