A small, figure moved through the Northern Plains. Her paws lightly touched the soft ground and her movements were fluid and graceful. Smoky pink eyes lit were the only thing that stood out in this place. She had been wandering for a couple days, loneliness getting the better of her. The femme usually considered loneliness as a good friend, but she had been yearning for some temporary companionship. It had been weeks since she had seen another wolf. Her smoky pink eyes scanned the horizon, not seeing a wolf in sight. The long green grass was softly swaying side to side as a soft breeze blew by. Small, vibrant little flowers were poking their heads up the ground. She stepped on the delicate flowers, as she walked pass the clump of flowers. Her head held high and proud, her hips gently swinging.
Sakura was in the mood for a little fun. Being alone had it's perks but she missed companionship. She sat under a tree and rolled over on her back, exposing her belly. She looked up at the tree tops, seeing a small blue bird looking down on her. Sakura glared at the bird before the bird took off. Her tail lightly thumped the earth, boredom sweeping over her. Sakura hoped that another wolf would come along. Male or female, well, preferably male. She hadn't of spent time with a male in a while, and was itching to have some fun with him.

Omenfyre hadn't been out in a while. The big black wolf had been taking a break from life, having found a nice, secluded cave in the Northern Mountains to live in for a while. He laid around all day, sunbathing on the rocks, hunting rabbits when he was hungry. He hadn't seen another soul in a very long time.
Maybe that was why he had left his cave and bounded down the slope. Lonely? He doubted it. The big male never got lonely. Even when he had been swimming across the sea, he hadn't felt a pinch of loneliness. Then again, he'd been surrounded by fish.
The wind made the rat skull on the rawhide strap around his neck swing from side to side; he paused in walking to lift a paw and stop the skull from swinging. Adjusting it so that it stopped, he put his paw down and continued on.
A small blue bird flew by over his head and he snapped his teeth playfully at it. The bird, probably a jay, scolded him loudly, flying out of reach. Omenfyre chuckled, his voice carrying on the wind.

The small femme was still laying under the large tree. She quietly laid there, breathing in the air. Suddenly, a faint chuckle danced in the air. The femme rolled over on her side, her ears perked up. She then stretched out her body before standing up. There was a distant smell of another wolf that filled the air. Her eyes lit up with excitement. She sniffed the air some more, catching the scent again. It was a male, and the femme's insides started to tingle with more excitement. Casually, Sakura started to saunter to the other wolf.
Sakura was unsure if this male would be hostile or not, but she would find out really soon. An air of confidence surrounded her, as she walked. She always enjoyed meeting new wolves, especially males. The femme noticed a bird flying over her head. The she wolf's tail gently swayed side to side. In the distance, she saw the silhouette of another wolf. Sakura gave a soft bark, letting the other wolf know that she was here as well.

Omenfyre's dancing orange eyes followed the bird for a few more moments before he became disinterested and dropped his head to sniff at the grass. The rat skull on the rope tapped against the gold ring next to it, making a pinging noise. Omenfyre looked sideways at the ring, the glinting gold etched with an old poem. He recited his two favorite lines; "Five fore the smoke, six for the fire." The rat skull was the heirloom of his lost pack. The ring he had found, half-buried, on the slope of a volcano. Taking interest in the trinket, he had paused to admire the way it glinted. In truth, as a youngster, Omenfyre had been vain, the pampered son of the Alpha. Now, well, he knew that the world held no kind place for the self-centered. Suddenly, his ears pricked up. A soft bark drifted over to him, and he spotted a pretty little she-wolf trotting towards him, swinging her tail. His own black one gave a little wag.

OOC: Sorry, shot post. Low muse... :/
Sakura walked up to the male. She gave a sweet smile before introducing herself. "Hello. I'm Sakura." She said in a husky, alluring tone. Her pink eyes looked at the male. He was a large brute and that's the kind of males Sakura liked. She looked back at the male. "So, what's a handsome brute like you doing all the way out here?" Her voice had a little sparkle of curiosity but was still husky and alluring.

OOC:totally fine IC: Omenfyre couldn't help but give the lith female a little 'cool dude style' smirk as she approached. He wasn't really one to flirt with females, but this one was sooo pretty... She's got a pretty name too. Sakura. That's some sort of flower, right? A pink flower. She's got pink eyes... he gave another smirk at he r next question. Really, what am I doing here? "Oh, me, I'm just a wandering loner, looking for peace and quiet away from the heckling packs. I've been in the mountains for a while, but the stones up there got old and boring. I had to move on again, you know. Can't be tied to one place. My name is Omenfyre, by the way." Now that the she-wolf was close, he could see that she was much smaller than him, and indeed very pretty. He grinned, showing white teeth. "Mountains aren't really my habitat anyways...too cold and windy."

Sakura matched his smirk with her, sassy, flirtatious smirk. "It's very nice to meet you Omenfrye" She purred. "I'm not one for packs either. They aren't my thing. Being a loner is more appealing to me." Her tail was still lightly swaying from side to side. The femme had never really enjoyed pack life. Too many wolves and whiny pups. And ever since she was banished from her birth pack, she loved every single second of freedom that came with it. From not having to listen to orders from high rankers to behaving pack laws. Sakura didn't understand why so many wolves chose to be in a pack. And for what? Safety? Being loved by others? Friends? The pups? Loners could do whatever they want to do and not have to follow rules. Sakura enjoyed being a loner. She looked back at the brute. Her voice flirtatious. "Well, I hope you don't mind company for a while." She was hoping that Omenfrye wouldn't mind her being around him for a while.

Omenfyre was thoroughly through with packs, that was for sure. Most loners were, just like him, just like Sakura. Of course, one other wolf didn't count as a pack, as neither had the group of three being chased by that psychotic male with the shrouded face. He hadn't seen those three since they had headed for the city. He hoped they were alright. That male had been vicious. Back to right now, then. he twitched his ears, listening to Sakura. "I don't mind your company one bit, Sakura. Two wolves is not a pack, after all." He sat, the long grass making a crinkling noise. Guess it hasn't rained here for a while. "How long have you been here? What's been going on in this place? I've probably missed a lot of stuff. Packs may be annoying, but their petty arguments can be sooo entertaining."

Sakura's ears swiveled from side to side, listening to Omenfrye. Sakura hadn't been here for very long, in this area. She sat down next to Omenfrye then turned to look at him. "Oh, well, I haven't been here for very long. So, I've just been wandering around." Shelooked around, the Northern Plains were filled with long grass and some flowers here and there. She lightly chuckled as he said about packs and their petty arguments. "I agree with you on the pack statement... I don't understand why so many wolves choose pack life... I find being alone quite a relieve. So, how long have you been a loner?" Sakura had been living by herself for a little over a year now, and loving every moment. Although, there were moments where Sakura wanted someone to talk to. She remembered being miserable in her birth pack. Sakura promised herself that she would never join another pack.

Omenfyre accepted the fact that there was no more new news to know; loners would be loners, and sometimes you either got all the gossip or none. That depended on the wolf as well; Some couldn't stay out of other wolves' businesses, others never even talked to a single other wolf most of the time. "These packs here are pretty low-rate...I've seen a lot better. My birth pack was a member of a Clan, a group of packs united under a Chieftan. Each pack had a fief, a piece of land in their Clan's territory. Groups of fiefs were rule by Lords, and separate packs by Alphas. There was no war, except between the Clans, and those wars were rare and had to start because of the casualties they caused." Omenfyre paused, remembering the epic tales his mother had told him. "The stories say that the volcanoes of my homeland were created by the fury of warring Clans..." He flipped his tail out from under him and sat down, looking over at Sakura. "Hmm. I'd say I've been a loner for... Maybe two years? It's hard to tell."
