"This is the last place I wanna check out before we go find Piyanth, Norrissa," Ramoth promised sincerely, blinking her orange eyes. "We'll turn right back around after this and go back to Iroshi. We'll join the pack, reunite with Piyanth, and all will be good."
Norrisa rolled her electric blue eyes. "Whatever you say."
"I mean it," Ramoth continued, poking her golden snout through the ashes, "This is the last place." She kicked a small cloud of soot into the air, watching it float away. Some of it settled on Norrisa's black coat, blending in perfectly.
"I don't see why you wanted to come here," Norrisa grumbled, looking at a still-burning piece of wood, "All this stuff is flammable, and if you haven't noticed, there are little fires everywhere."
"It's nice out here," Ramoth replied in a soft voice, "Just us and the wind."
