Zaheth twitched his ears, delving through his memory. Shadino, son of Night, Alpha of Leoni. Enemy of Horkiro. "You are at war, aren't you." It wasn't a question. "Your father sent you here because it would be safer, but evil lurks in every city corner." He looked past Shadino and have a slight nod to acknowledge Fuel' presence. "I remember you, when you came here as a pup. You said trying to punch you would be like punching death." Zaheth spoke. "What made you seek protection? I don't mean to pry, but my forces are stretched right now, with my head hired fighter away with his mate and his brother becoming involved in drug dealing." He shook his head. "That Stoner's a weird one."
Kindle shuffled out of the tunnel, shaking dust from his orange fur, getting out of the way just in time to see the she-wolf walk in. Tinder came in behind her, the muffled thump of the rug falling echoing into the room.
Zaheth looked over at the she-wolf and then back at Shadino. "Friend of yours?"

Shadino's ears were ringing with Zaheth's words. He listened though, he was not quite sure how to respond to him. Then he looked at Zaheth with a bit of a glow in his deep purple eyes. Punching death.. I have a fade of a memory, but I do remember that. He looked at the ground and then let his ears flatten. He heard Zaheth ask about his protection. Why he came here. If that was all he needed, then Shadino wouldn't mind, but he would give him more. He noticed Fuel was in the room now. "Punching death huh? I was stubborn. It seems now I was punched by death. Hmph."
Shadino gave a long sigh, and then he looked back onto Zaheth, ears shooting up. "I don't know why my father sent me here. There is one thing I do know. I am here for a reason. That is to keep my pack's future going. If protection is what I need, then so be it. I will do whatever it takes to keep myself safe.." He noticed that Tinder, Kindle and Jerugi had come. He gave a few blinks at Jerugi. He knew she was here, but he hadn't seen her in a while. Not since they were pups.
He wondered if Jerugi had remembered that. He heard Zaheth speak and then he looked at him, giving a taunting look. Then he nodded, slowly. "I would hope so." He looked at Jerugi, again more surprised. Then he turned his attention to Zaheth. "So do I have your help or what?" Jerugi/SinatoJerugi looked at Zaheth, as he spoke of her and Shadino being friends. She didn't make any eye contact with Shadino after he said that. She would glance over every now and then, until he finally looked back at Zaheth. That's when Jergui had noticed that Fuel had come in, along with Tinder and Kindle behind him. She looked at them and then she turned to Zaheth and listened.
As Shadino spoke of him being the future of the pack, she realized that he had been the future. She sat on her rump and kept her ears up. She listened carefully. Then she looked over to Zaheth again, as Shadino asked a question to him. She spoke, butting in a bit. "Protection from here?" She gave a look around the so called 'base'. Then she looked down a bit. "Nevermind."

Zaheth was glad to see the Shadino remembered the encounter. His guards would be happier to help someone who had been in contact with their boss before than someone who was simply wandering in. Of course, Zaheth's word was always enough as well. "I have a few guards that are open, but not many. My head guard could provide service, but seeing that he has a son to care for among other duties, I doubt he has time. There is another option, though." He looked over at the three brothers.
Kindle looked ever so slightly sullen, not happy to have missed events. Fuel gave him a glare. His brother was usually spicy, but this was overdoing it. Tinder trotted over to Kindle and nudged him with his nose. Ill explain everything later, brother.
Zaheth looked over at the she-wolf as she butted in, then back at Shadino. "You have my help. You can stay here if you wish. There's always someone in and even the secretaries know how to fight." He looked back down the hall. "There are rooms you could say in. On the other paw," he looked over at Fuel, "the other easiest choice would be to hire young Fuel here. He's just an apprentice, so his status in my ranks is private, but he's close enough to testing to take on his first job." Zaheth smiled a bit. "Of course, if you want a more certified guard, I'm sure I can find one."
Fuel looked surprised as Zaheth said he was ready for his first job. Am I? Am I really? Zaheth thinks so? he felt a taint of nervousness, something unusual for the stately orange wolf.

Shadino gave a look at Zaheth, as he spoke of the guards. It was a more shallow thankful look, then it was a hateful. He gave several nods, pausing in between each one. Then he gave a look back to Fuel, Tinder and Kindle. "I think I see where you are going." He looked back to Zaheth, as he spoke about Fuel being one of his choices. Shadino did trust Fuel, but he would rather have someone else get hurt for his protection. Shadino had a heart.. It was deep, very deep, down to the depths of darkness, but it was there.
He looked at Fuel and shook his head. "Don't take this offensively, but I'd rather you stay out of my trouble.." He then cut himself off, thinking a bit. Then a sigh left his muzzle. "If you think you can handle it, then be my guest, but know this. Your blood will not be on my paws if you get killed or assassinated." With that he turned to Jerugi and gave a nod. "I guess you have a partner now." He turned away and padded passed Zaheth, going towards where his room was directed. Jerugi/SinatoJerugi was getting all of this, but her attention was scarce. She was only focused more when Zaheth pointed out their rooms. Her gaze shot up to Zaheth and a little praise opened her mind to thoughts. So now I get the good treatment? After all these years and months of watching over Shadino? I get it now? Well it's about time. She gave a sly look at Zaheth, before nodding a bit. "We are ever so grateful." She gave a small bow and then her ears flattened, as Shadino faced her and spoke. Her mood changed slightly. From joyous to held-back. She spoke. "Partner?"
Her gaze turned from Shadino to Fuel. Then she turned back to see that Shadino was walking away. "Since when did he start barking orders? Wait-" She shut her trap. He knows I protect him? How? She looked down. Then she turned to Fuel. "Gah. Fine. You better hope you know what you are doing." She turned away.

Zaheth listened to Shadino speak, his mind working quickly to sort through facts and possibilities. Fuel was a good apprentice, strong and smart. He would hate if something happened to him, but the experience would be benificial. Plus, despite being a public place, anywhere labeled his was very safe. Most wolves would not want to feel his wrath... Im a little old for wrath. he thought to himself. But I won't let Shadino down.
Fuel was ok with being rejected, but he knew that it was his duty to help. Shadino has said he could, after all. "I would be honored to take on a job." He spoke quietly. "I must get used to dangerous enemies." He looked over at Zaheth. "One request, though, sir, I would like my brothers to remain with me. You know, just in case."
Zaheth nodded, moving towards the hall. "That's fine, Fuel. I need their help for just a moment, back at the base. They'll come back with anything necessary." He motioned for Kindle and Tinder to follow him. The three trotted down the hall, Kindle silently fuming at his brother. Zaheth quickly opened the Catacomb door and herded them through, closing it behind them.
Fuel looked over at Shadino and the she-wolf. "I don't believe I know your name," he said to her.

Shadino turned down the hall, seeing a opened door. He let his paws push the rest opened and then he let his paw hit the ground. His room looked like a old office, but all the equipment was out of it. He looked around at the drywall, which was painted white. It looked professional. This room would do for now. He looked at where he saw two beds. He would use one of them and the other one should suite Jerugi. He slowly walked towards where there was a window. With them being below the ground, there was no view. He gave a sigh. Then he went to the window and looked at it.
Then he turned to his bed and hopped on it. "It's not like I have any duties to do. I just hope that Chi doesn't-" His head rose up. "It should be fine." Then he layed his head on his paws and narrowed his brows to a dim point. "I just hope that those wolves know what they are doing. If I am killed then everything my father had hoped for would go with it. We will surely loose the war." Jerugi/SinatoJergui gave a nod, as Zaheth, Kindle and Tinder walked off. Then she turned to the one they called Fuel. She rose up on all fours, looking at him. "My name is Jerugi. I own a gang more towards the north. It's close to the old Thrift Shop where the family that owned it was murdered. It's a long story." She wouldn't go into detail with that. Most of it was her fault after all. She looked down a bit, letting her eyes slowly travel down with her head. Then she gave a snicker. "And I know you. You are Fuel, I have heard your name a few times tonight. Introductions, comments.."
Then she gave a strong look at Fuel. "I'm not going to go into detail with that. How about we get started on checking out the perimeter." It was more of a demanding voice that she had, being she was usually in charge. Though she was like that, she had a more sympathetic side. It wasn't coming out any time soon though. She walked passed Fuel, letting her tail sway back and forth. Then she climbed up the hole, letting her head poke up the rug. Then she pulled herself all the way up. "Alright. The coast is clear. Let's go."
She kicked the rug up with her back leg, letting Fuel climb out.

Fuel listened to the door click shut as Shadino went to check out his new home. He turned back just in time to catch the she-wolf's name, Jerugi. He recognized the thrift store murder Jerugi was speaking of. "I believe I know where that is." . She's kind of young to be a gang leader. Fuel twitched his ears to acknowledge Jerugi's order. She sure sounds like a gang leader though. he narrowed his eyes slightly and watched her swishing tail receded into the darkness of the tunnel before following after her. His own tail flicked around and hit the small bell hanging on the wall to tell the receptionist she could return to her desk and duty. After all, somebody needed to be present just in case. Zaheth trusted his receptionists; they were more dangerous than they looked. Fuel scrambled up through the hole, letting the rug fall back into place behind him. "So," he said, looking at Jerugi, "we watching for anyone in particular?"

Jerugi/SinatoJerugi's ears twitched a bit, hearing Fuel's voice behind her. She gave a slick look around them, before speaking. "Well we are looking for people who look suspicious. No one in specific. Well there is one.." She focused her eyes on Fuel, letting them dim down to show how serious she was. "There is one female that is a bit dangerous. She has trespassed on even my territory before." She gave a slight growl to herself, before turning her head back to what was a head of her.
Then she began to walk towards a building that was almost connected to the city. She stopped and then she spoke more of the female. "The funny thing is, I never even got her name." She backed away from the building, before running towards it. Then she pushed off of her feet, leaping onto the building. She landed on her four paws, ever so gracefully. Then she spoke of the female again, as if Fuel was still behind her. "She was actually the first to trespass and get away."
She sat still and then, peering at the ground below her, she stepped to the edge. She almost looked like a shadow from the ground, standing infront of the moon's light. She spoke, almost like she was in charge of a whole pack of assassins. "Down there. If we keep watch there and up by my base, it should be clear that no one sneaky tries to go into Zaheth's territory, nor mine." [I'm going to keep Shadino out until a few posts.]

OOC: ok Fuel followed Jerugi out of the dozer, his paws sending up little puffs of dust as he walked. Suspisious people. Got it. Like we don't already get a ton of wolves around here... Hiding Shadino in a public place seemed stupid, but Zaheth couldn't let him into the actual assassin base out of duty to the safety of the apprentices and other students. Nobody usually came around at night, but during the day it would be difficult to filter the crowd. Hopefully buisness would be slow over the next few days. Fuel lept up onto the building roof after Jerugi, landing heavily, his wide paws taking the weight. The moon shown behind him, perfect for illuminating the streets ahead. "What does this she-wolf look like?" He asked. "There's also a list of wolves that are prohibited from Zaheth's territory back in the base. We probably should look at that sometime."
