A New Warrior (Iroshi Wolves)

[Leopard]

Leopardfang was sound asleep in her den, pups curled up at her flank. The three had gone on a little adventure that morning, hunting a few small pieces of prey, and just exploring the territory. Now, they were exhausted. Only asleep for a mere half an hour, Leopardfang didn't hear the Alpha pair's howl. Neither did Diesel, nor Hellfire. That was unusual. They had only just gotten to sleep and they were probably already in their deep realm of sleep.

Bluefire, bursting in the den at the first call of the Alphas, nosed his mate on the cheek. He almost whimpered, not wanting to make Alpha Blaze or Alphess Magnolia upset with their family. He kept prodding, but nothing seemed to work. Yes, his mate was quite the heavy sleeper. His pelt fluffed up as Magnolia sounded another, more urgent, howl. He tried again, poking Leopsrdfang's stomach.

Leopardfang's eyes fluttered open as she heard a more impatient howl from their Aphless, and continuous poking and prodding from an unknown source. She growled, deep from her throat. Looking up at Bluefire, she snarled, "What is so important that you needed to wake me from a mid-day nap?!"

Taken aback, Bluefire was used to his mate snapping at him like this. Calmly in his deep timbre, he replied. "The Alphas have summoned the pack. They are getting impatient so I suggest we get a move on." Eyes narrowed, he scooped up his daughter by the scruff. With a little squeal, Diesel started to protest.

"Hey hey hey, what's the meaning of this? I was sleeping, Daddy, put me down!" Continuing to squirm as Bluefire carried her out of the den, she suddenly gave up, losing hope for going back to sleep and just hung limp from his jaws.

Following her mate's lead, she grasped Hellfire in her jaws by his scruff and padded out of the den, the sun blinding her. She stumbled a few times, then catching up to Bluefire to lean against his shoulder. He wouldn't mind, although she wasn't that much smaller than he.

Phantom rose with a start. He was sun bathing on a rock in the camp, not having a care in the world. His sister right beside him, she looked up when he sprung to his paws. They hadn't caught the first few howl uttered from the alpha pair, but now was fully aware that they were late to whatever their alphas wanted them for. He stepped off the rock, not being to difficult for his massive size. He was bigger than the average wolf, his sister not too far behind him.

Angel's Nightmare, formally called Angel, groaned and crawled off the rock to follow her brother. He was a far higher rank than she, and had also heard the alpha's call from one of the borders. She could also see the other family in Iroshi with pups walking towards the sound. In step with Phantom, they made quick progress.

Both groups arriving at the same time, Phantom stepped forward first, being the second highest in command in the pack. Dipping his head with the other wolves at his tail, he quickly summoned his voice in a fathomless low tone. "Sorry we are late. It seems many of us were taking a snooze." Now nodding to the new member, he gave a cold stare, not knowing what to make of the wolf as he studied him. Obviously he was the largest wolf in the pack, so he would have no problem there if he was ever challenged to a fight.

"Welcome. I am Phantom, Beta Male of Iroshi." He did not introduce the other members, they would have to do that themselves. Standing there, tall and sturdy, he blinked a few times to the bright sun gaping at his eyes.

(OOC: Wow, this is long... I just needed to catch up. I didn't feel like introducing the other just yet, you guys need time to react.)

Magnolia heard all the commotion and rolled her eyes. She was tired and still sad about their deceased pup. Magnolia had built up a lot of anger and resentment towards Bluefire and LeopardFang, especially towards LeopardFang. She turned to Phantom but was talking to the group as a whole. Her voice was calm but laced with irritation and authority. "I'm glad at least one of you were still alert! Do I honestly have to remind you all that when an Alpha howls you come as quickly as possible?!?" She paused, her voice got softer and there was less irritation in it as well. "We've all been under a little stress and sadness lately, but that is no excuse for arriving here this late. Do you all understand?" Her gray purple eyes looked at every single one of the wolves that just arrived. Her eyes like sharp daggers. She gave a low quiet growl before speaking again. Her voice was calmer and more friendlier this time. "I would like you all to introduce yourselves to our newest member." She paused "And I expect all of you to be very welcoming and polite to our newest member." She shot a look at Phantom while saying this.

Cobalt listened intently as his mother addressed the situation. He looked at Diesel and Hellfire, who were still in their parents jaws. Cobalt gave a slight smirk at the family before turning back to face the newcomer. Cobalt laid down between his mother's front paws, still looking at the newcomer then at his brother.

Bella and Takoda silently listened to the Alphess Speak. It was obvious that Magnolia was not in the best of moods today. Bella fidgeted silently, while Takoda looked down at his paws. Bella glanced at Phantom, Angel, and Bluefire's family before looking back at the newcomer.

Piyanth waited paciently for the others to come. As thy filtered in, he took a glance at each one, making a prediction about the rank they held. Those two look like warriors, maybe, but the Alphas said there was only one other warrior....maybe they are a higher rank of some sort? he looked over at the massive wolf who was giving him a cold stare. He smiled politely back. Must be a high rank, with that kind of confidence.
"Nice to meet you, Beta Phantom. My name is Piyanth. I have been accepted as a warrior into this nice pack.[/i] he looked, bright-eyed, around the group, listening as Magnolia reprimanded their lateness. He looked over at the female next to the Beta called Phantom. Maybe she's that Angel's Nightmare they keep talking about? with a name like that, he hadn't known what to expect, but so far, she seemed nice.

Flame nodded slightly to each of the pack members. Leopardfang and Bluefire he knew Magnolia did not like, but she handled the situation well in his eyes. He followed up her words with a stern look, reminding each wolf of their place in his pack. I can forgive them this once, but it's embarrassing for a new member to see his packmates lazing around when the Alphas call.
"I hope you all can accept and be friends to Piyanth. He is a young wolf with many years ahead, and I can tell he will use them in loyal service to his pack." he turned to Piyanth. "This is our pack. We aren't as big as we could be, but we're strong." he looked at Phantom, noticing the cold look he was giving Piyanth. I'll talk to him later if he doesn't warm up. Flame decided. {i] He's hasn't done any harm...yet.[/i]

Cannon snorted at the sight of Diesel and Hellfire being carried around like newborn pups, but he did not speak. Magnolia was grumpy enough as is, and he didn't want to anger her more. he looked over at Cobalt and made a face. Watchya lookin' at? he turned away, uninterested in bothering his brother, and sat next to his father.

Phantom bowed to his alphas, not too sure what to do next. Instead, he spoke for the group to Alphess Magnolia. "We are greatly sorry, Alphess, we won't let it happen again." At this, he turned around to look at the group gathered behind him. Raising an eyebrow in expectancy, he watched them all dip their heads in promise. He hoped they wouldn't let him down, or he'd surly be punished for it later.

Angel looked at the newcomer, eyes drawn narrow in the bright sunlight. She examined Piyanth, assuming this would be her new "apprentice". She had no idea of this wolf could even fight or knew the first thing about fighting. From the way he acted, she had already judged him as a softy. But who knows, all wolves tend to hide something from others, she knew that all too well. She nodded to him, at least acknowledging his arrival.

It took all Leopardfang had not to spit our her own pup and throw a rage at Magnolia. She was tired of all her bitterness towards her. It seemed so unfair to her that she had her two pups before the petty Alphess, and Magnolia seemed to find it right by instantly hating her, not even getting to know the real wolf Leopardfang was. Instead, all she did was set down Hellfire, and in result he shook out his pelt. Bluefire let Diesel down as well.

Cobalt looked at Hellfire and Diesel. He turned back and watched the rest of the pack. His mother was obviously mad, and he didn't want to make her any madder than what she already was. He looked down at his paws, waiting for the awkwardness to end.

Magnolia sighed, before looking back at the rest of the pack.She turned to Piyanth, with a small smile across her smile. It took all of Magnolia's will power to keep a semi-composed face. Her voice was strained and quiet. "Now, shall we go back to the main dens and give our newest member a tour?" She started to turn around and walk back to camp, she turned back around and looked at LeopardFang. "LeopardFang, could I please speak to you alone after we get Piyanth settled in?" There were a couple of things that she wanted to address with LeopardFang. She turned to her mate. "Flame, is there anything else we should address to Piyanth? I think we covered all the necessary things, but I'm not completely sure."

Piyanth could tell that the tensions between the pack members were not aNything new. His ears gyrated in a twitchy circle, as they often did when he was nervous. He offered a polite smile to Angel and took a deep breath to calm himself. Another smile, more real that the last one, spread across his face as he dipped his head to Magnolia in response to her words.
"I would enjoy getting a tour of some sorts, just to get aquaintied with the camp. I can explore the territory on my own, as long as somebody shows me the boundries. I understand that they always must be respected, since I came from a pack as well." He could smell the wolf's scent trails and guessed that they led back to the camp. All of them had come from the relitaivly same area.

Flame, sensing the stress of the situation, looked down at his so, hen around at the others.
"Pups, can you please return to camp? Bluefire, go with them." He knew Magnolia would want to talk to Leopardfang, so he kept her where she was. When Magnolia requested to speak with the she-wolf, he wasn't the least bit surprised.
"no, I think we have covered all the main points." He decided. "Angel, I want you to show Piyanth around, since you will be teaching him. Best to get aquaintied." He ordered. "Phantom, make sure there's a den that Piyanth can use as his own." He counted off the wolves in his head.
That's everybody but Bella and Takoda...they can just come back to camp with the others. Magnolia mustn't be interupted, especially in the mood she's in... he blamed that on Leopardfang.

Cannon looked a bit sulky at being ordered back to camp, but went anyways, not wanting to anger his mother further. Trotting along on his little paws, he headed past the others, not waiting for Bluefire, and followed the path leading to the camp.

First, Bluefire shooed his pups off to follow Cannon who had already started on their way back to camp. They raced after the pup, Diesel trying to nip at Connon's tail while Hellfire galloped a little behind. He turned and headed out but not before giving Leopardfang's cheek a lick for luck, she would need it with what Magnolia was about to speak to her about. But why should she blame her? It was everyone's fault and she had no reason to be so hard on his mate. But he wasn't about to say that, saying something so disrespectful to the Alphas would surely get them kicked out of the pack. Even so, that was their lose if it came to that.

Phantom and Angel nodded, smiling at Piyanth, Phantom's obviously a little less warm than his sister's. "Well," Phantom said at last, "Let my sister begin with the tour." He signaled for her to take the lead, and she headed off to another direction of the camp while Phantom slowly retreated with Bluefire, catching up to him and matching his pace.

Leopardfang, now the only one left in the clearing of the late group, was thoroughly pissed. She had done nothing wrong, at least not by herself. It would probably just be a simple lecture on how Magnolia had not given them her approval to have pups before her and Flame did. If that was the case, then the two of them should have acted faster. It was Spring, she had Bluefire couldn't help it and there was nothing she could do now. Casting her eyes on the Alpha pair and the two hunters, she waited for Magnolia's lecture to come on.

Cobalt ran after the other pups. Right behind Hellfire. Bella and Takoda nodded at the dismissal and left as well. When everyone was gone, Magnolia turned to Leopard.

Magnolia sighed, before speaking to Leopard. She knew this would be an awkward conversation and figured LeopardFang was not exactly rainbows and butterflies when it came to talking to her. She padded over to LeopardFang until she was a few feet away and sat herself down. Her voice was low. "LeopardFang, I want to apologize for my behavior to you, your mate, and your pups." She paused, she assumed she had not acted rationally around LeopardFang's pups but was still uncertain. "I know I have been lashing out on you and your mate especially, and I have no right to. I know I shouldn't hold a grudge against you especially, considering you had no control of when you were going to deliver your pups." She sighed, before speaking again. "I really want you and your family to stay, you've been such a good sport, taking all of the garbage I have given you lately. It was unfair of me to be so harsh and hostile towards you as well." She looked at LeopardFang, assessing her reaction before speaking again. "I've been trying to be the perfect Alphess, but I have obviously failed you and your family... Please accept my apology." She paused again. "I want us" Referring to herself, LeopardFang and Bluefire. "To wipe the slate clean, and start over again. I realize the way I have been acting is not rational and I really do give you my sincere apologies." Magnolia was not used to acting so hostile but something deep inside of her made her snap and lash out at LeopardFang. Magnolia waited, silently for LeopardFang's response. Not knowing if she would accept Magnolia's apology or not accept it.

Cannon was not ready for the others to come up behind him and gave a tremendous yelp when Deseil nipping him. Scrambling paws sending up puffs of dust, he booked toward the camp at top speed.
"Catch me if you can, slowpokes!"

Flame aknowledge the by tresses and watched them go before turning his ears and his attention back to Magnolia and Leopardfang. It surprised him that Magnolia was apologizing.
I would not have been so easy on her...but then again, Magnolia has a point. She really didn't do anything wrong and could have never controlled when she was having pups...

[piyanth]

Piyanth listened as Alpha Flame gave everyone orders. He looked over at Angel to see where she was and then back at Flame to here the last of his orders to the rest of the pack.
He seems to run a tight shift, or has a good mind for plans and orders. Piyanth watched the pups tear down the path before looking back at Angel. He noticed Phantom's less-than-happy smile.
Have i done something to offend him? he though worriedly. He was glad when the big Beta Male trotted over to Bluefire and away.
"Where are we going first?" he inquired to Angel, taking a few, long bounds to catch up to her. His paw slipped as he tried to navigate a rabbit hole and he stumbled, saving himself just in time.
"Whoa!" he paced sideways away from the hole. "That was close."
