Stephen The sky had just darkened over the grey clouds that had appeared moments ago. The city was, as usual, dark and gloomy. It was the same darkness and gloominess that left Stephen thinking about the city at night. Wondering if this was his true home. He never thought about leaving, but it always hid in the back of his mind like a old photo in a forgotten book of faded memories. Stephen peered out of the cracked window of an abandoned shelter. He sat there, petting Rit, his companion wolf, who always stood by his side.
"It's only a matter of time before this city crumbles down to the ground and only the rubble is left behind as proof that this place existed. What do you think Rit?"
He stopped petting the black wolf, who layed his head on Stephen's leg. Stephen looked back out of the window and kept his eye on the wet roof of a building that was smaller that his. The reflection of the moon showed itself in the puddle. It was the only thing beautiful in the city. He gave a sigh and leaned back against the wall.
"When will this life of ours turn around?" Rit Rit layed his head on his master's leg, as he looked out the window. Rit had always been so very loyal to Stephen, as if he was his most trusting friend. When Stephen began to pet Rit, his eyes dimmed down and he put his ears down. Stephen spoke about the city and then Rit heard his name. His ears perked up to Stephen's voice and Rit gave a small growl at the bottom of his throat.
It would only be for a bit, then the rubble would blow away and this city would be forgotten in a matter of days.
Rit thought to himself. He never spoke aloud, Stephen wouldn't hear him anyway. He was a human, not a wolf. Rit listened to Stephen's last question, before sitting up and looking out of the window.
This life we live, it is not a very good one, I would agree..but it is a life.

[ooc: Wow, you are so amazing at role-playing, I'll try to write the best that I can.]
Foot-steps tapped against the concrete, their sounds echoing off the buildings. It was unusually quiet, occasionally there was yelling in the background or the rare person leaning against a building or hiding in the shadows of the night.
A lone figure, tall and skinny, walked along the cracked sidewalk. His shoulders were hunched and eyes focused on the ground he was walking on. A cigarette was hanging out of his mouth, it was glowing dully and was almost just a small nub. He was limping, obviously hurt, if his face wasn't shadowed over you would see a swollen shut eye and three ragged scratch marks on his cheek bone. He was having difficulty drawing in air, though that didn't stop him from taking in long drags from his cigarette.
His movements were slow as he stopped and threw the cigarette on the ground, crushing it with the heel of his foot before continuing onwards.
The tall figure glanced up as someone ran past him, the other person's footsteps slapping loud against the concrete. The taller figure watched the other warily until he disappeared around the corner. Now the slight male seemed skittish, he continued on with a faster limp and brilliant blue eye darted around catching every movement in it's vision.
After several moments of limping the slim figure darted in between two buildings, one appeared to be an abandoned shelter and the other a building smaller than the shelter.
With slow movements the injured person leaned against the wall of the abandoned shelter then slowely slid down its side only to wince in pain as his skinny ass hit the ground. Groaning in pain the slight figure brought his legs up against his chest, wrapped his arms around them, then rested his forehead on his knees.
The figure's shoulders began to shake, silently he sobbed, no sounds escaped his lips whatsoever except for a choked sob or two.
[ooc: uhm, Darcia is a bit out of character but there is a reason why. I hope it's good enough c:]

Stephen Stephen gave a blank expression to the boring things that were out of his window. Then, without a warning, he stood up and faced towards the stairs. He padded down then, letting his feet hit the hollow steps and making a slight thump. Rit had followed behind him shortly, letting his steps move faster. Stephen headed towards the door, but he stopped. He noticed something out of the window. It was a tall boy, limping. He looked beat up almost as if he had been jumped. Stephen raised an eye brow. Then he waited for the boy to pass. The boy did not, instead he ended up falling to the ground infront of the shelter.
"Hm? What a usual sight.. I see limping boys all the time, but.."
Stephen opened the door and poked his head out just a bit, it was when he saw no one. He made a click noise with his mouth and pointed out of the door. He kept his eyes out the door.
"Rit, sniff out the boy, besides me. See if you can lead me where that boy just came from."
Stephen wasn't sure if Rit could smell a boy that had no scent that was familiar to him, but it was worth a try. Stephen wanted to see what this boy was doing. Where he was going. He just figured he would, being it was that he was bored and had nothing better to do. Rit Rit had followed his master down the steps. It was strange to see Stephan act so jumpy. Then he watched Stephen watch the window. Rit saw the boy. It was no boy of any ordinary being. It was a wolf. Rit gave a growl and knew this was bad.
As the wolf headed to the shelter, Rit grew very protective. He narrowed his eyes and stared. His right eye, green as grass, focused on the wolf, as he left eye, blue as water. His ears twitched a bit, as Stephen spoke.
Sniff him? An unusual request Stephen...I will do as you ask.
Rit walked out of the door and stood before the one on the ground. He snickered a bit and gave a sigh. Then he bent his head down and sniffed the wounded wolf. His eyes widened, as he couldn't get the scent over the filth that this mutt smelled like.
Hmph. How pathetic. Get up you dog..

The boy's head snapped upwards from his knees facing the pitch black wolf. One blue eye narrowed while the other stayed swollen shut as he took in the sight before him.
"What do you want?" The boy growled out, cautious and wary of the wolf standing before him.
The tall boy took in the wolf's appearance, it was one solid color, the boy's favorite black. His fur was spiked up at the back of his neck and his eyes were two different colors, his left a nice green and his right a clear blue. The slight boy tried recalling if he had ever seen this wolf before but he couldn't remember seeing him ever. He couldn't try to recognize the wolf's scent either because he was in his human form.
The boy pursed his thin lips and waited for an answer.

Stephen Stephen let his awkward gaze turn into a discusted look. His eye brow raised, letting the other one narrow down. He watched as the boy spoke. 'What do you want?' Was what he said. A bit rude, being it was of all the people around here, Rit and him were the only ones to check this boy out. Stephen snickered a bit.
"Tch! We don't want anything out of you..just a reason of why you are infront of our home. Then you can limp on your way."
Stephen let his hand fan towards the road, as if he was saying to shoo away. He stared at the boy, giving off a more cold stare. He looked at Rit and then gave a nod. He glanced over at the boy, then looked back at Rit.
"Did you get his scent yet?..What happened to you anyway sir?" Rit Rit couldn't help but growl right back at this mutt. He had to laugh a bit, seeing his swollen eye. Then he looked up at Stephen. He knew what he was thinking. 'Oh Rit. Get his scent and let's leave this fool.' Even though the two came to check on this wolf, it was not the only reason that they came out of the shelter. They didn't like trespassers.
"Listen up mutt. We, as my master said, do not want anything from you..Just get going. You are below me and I am not even in my human form.."
Rit turned away and let his tail sway back and forth. He knew wolves were common in these parts. Maybe this one got jumped or beaten by other wolves. He shook his head at Stephen and then got ready to walk away. Then his ears perked up to Stephen's question to the wolf. Why was he so curious?

The boy gave both wolf and human a cold, sharp glare at their words.
"I didn't think this was a home considering how run down it looked." The skinny one snapped. "And my name isn't sir, it's Darcia."
Darcia suddenly winced and clenched at his stomach though his cold gaze never wavered from the two. He grit his, surprisingly white, teeth together and narrowed his eyes in pain. Subtly the tall boy held back a groan of pain, his eyes began to water but still his gaze remained true.
"What happened to me is really none of your business," Darcia ground out, "and considering I just told you my name why don't you introduce yourselves and see how we get along then."
Darcia leaned forward slightly and bit his lip so hard it began to bleed, he heaved out a breath as if it was becoming harder to get the air in and out of his lungs.

Stephen Stephen had to choke out a laugh, as the boy on the ground spoke. His stare was a strong one, but it was weak when it came to Stephen's eyes. He looked at the building and gave a tilt of his head. Then he looked at it with squinted eyes.
"This building is our temporary home. Our true home is this city- And you of all people are talking about run down? You look a bit run down yourself, you could take some advice from this building to still be standing after a bad accident."
Stephen gave a nod to Darcia, as he had spoken his name. Stephen had to look away when the pain era began. He turned back when Darcia was staring at him with teary eyes. Stephen smirked a bit, as Darcia spoke again, then Stephen raised his eye brow.
"It's a name you want? Fine. I'll give you my name. It's Stephen. This is Rit."
Stephen layed his hand out, gesturing to Rit. RIT Rit growled, showing his white teeth, lip raised high enough to see them. Who did this dog think he was? He is lying on the ground, in pain, and he is still running his mouth. Rit made his tail go straight behind him. Then he stood up high, with his chest poked out, ready to attack at any given moment.
"Well listen up Dacia.."
His voice was full of growls of many demons. Then he was interrupted by his master. Rit calmed down a bit, but still keeping his eyes on Darcia. He smiled, as pain struck Darcia. Then he snickered, as water filled his eyes. Rit snarled at Darcia, as he spoke of words that were just adding onto how much Rit wanted to attack. Rit looked at Stephen, as he gave Darcia their names.
"You got my name, as Stephen said. I wouldn't have given my name to a complete stranger anyway.."

A very large, brown male wolf was working his way up the alley, nose sniffing the ground every so often. His thick pelt was covered in many scars, marks of claws and teeth straining to break his defenses. Mostly, they just brushed the surface. No wolf or human had ever gotten by him when he was on the job. As he walked, his bearish paws made muffled thumps on the cold concrete of the alley floor. He was on the scent of a rouge wolf that had wandered dangerously close to the assassin base from which he worked. The trespassers most likely posed no threat, but as honorary Head Guard, it was his job to ensure the safety of the apprentinces and fight school wolves. Their parents were the ones with the money, after all. Nearing the exit to the alley, he stopped, his notched ears swiveling around, catching voices from the air. His nose left the ground. A human! his first instinct was to turn around and leave, but no. He had a job to do. This person would just be another bystander..... but wait. I smell two wolves with him. he quickly sized the situation. A human alone was of no fear to him, but a pair of wolves could be friendly but most likely aggressive. He shook his head, chuckling in his mind. I must be getting over cautious! There isn't a wolf in the entire city that scares me. I've fought off more than two at a time before, and besides, I'm on a job, they wont be bothered. he proceeded carefully forward until his eyes found the three. A wolf, a man, and a boy, the other wolf.
