A small silhouette stood at the edge of the Gugi territory. She had been running for miles, trying to get away from her old life. Her soft emerald green eyes surveyed the area. Her creamy white fur was now a dirty white. Her white fur, now matted with dirt. Her scent once had a faint smell of roses but now has the smell of mud and a slight hint of blood. Her ears quietly listened for a certain sound, she didn't hear it and knew she was safe.
The small female was tired, dirty, and malnourished. She gave an exhausted sigh before sitting her rump on the ground and howled. Her howl was sweet but mournful. Her body was tired of running and hiding, collapsed to the ground. Her body hitting the ground with a hard thump. She winced, waiting and hoping for a wolf to respond to her howl.

Star awoke from her peaceful slumber by a distance howl. She slowly opened her eyes, filled to the brim with extravagant colors. They were a hazel color towards the outside and getting closer to the middle and pupil it turned a warm and creamy gold. There were also little jagged flecks melted into the gold. She blinked twice and pricked her ears, drinking the sound of the fem's howl.
Rising to her paws, she stretched her muscles, hearing a faint 'CRACK!' every so often. She was used to it, for it felt good after staying still for a while. Lifting her head into an Alpha position and tipping it back to the stars, she gazed at them for a brief moment before she let her howl run wild. It had a deep-ish timbre to it, but also slightly feminine. She informed the wolf at her boarders that she was the Alpha of these lands and the one in charge. She didn't care if she woke the other wolves as she landed on the ground from her den's roof. She had apparently started a trend. On nights like these, she liked to fall asleep there because it kept her scenes alert. The cold seeped through her fur, threatening to rattle her bones. Sure, there was a risk of getting ill, but she couldn't keep away now and then.
Trotting with her ears shoved forward as much as possible and tail sailing out behind her, the breeze fluttered through her mane-like pelt around her face. The forest came on and the fae had to dodge the trees, roots, and bushes. Her pace quickened, challenging her muscles to push harder and faster. Not a single claw touched the barriers blocking her path as she gracefully jumped out of the forests covering. She stopped, not abruptly, taking a few steps. Setting her eyes on the wolf slumped over, she found its eyes. "What might you be doing here?" Silently, she felt a sigh of relief as her worries of Arumi showing up on her territory again.

Carissa's tired, soft emerald green eyes looked up at the fae. She got up, slowly. Every muscle in her body was sore from all the running she had been doing for the past few days. She stumbled onto her paws and dipped her head. "I mean no harm, Alphess. I'm Carissa." She said, her tone was very mournful and sad. "I was hoping to join a new pack and create a new life and escape my old pack and my old life." Her emerald eyes shined in the sunlight. Carissa looked at the female. "Pardon me, I must sit down, I've been running for days and I'm terribly tired." Carissa sat her sore rump on the ground. Every muscle cried and protested as she sat down.
Liliana woke up to the sound of a faint mournful howl, she then heard Alphess Star's dominant howl. She yawned and was about to get up but then sleep pulled her back and Liliana fell back asleep.

(OOC: No problem, I get that muse is running low with school and everything.  ) Star gave a weak smile as she listened to the small wolf's words, nodding her head a little in agreement and understanding. She flicked her tail back and forth for no apparent reason, likeing the way the wind swished trough the hairs. "I am Alphess Star, pleased to meet you." Her eyes were serious but apologetic. "That is quite alright, Carissa. You may sit." Sitting down herself, she was still much taller and broader shouldered that she. "Now, would you like to talk now about your ranking? I will not be offended if you say no." She looked into the femme's green orbs floating into hers. She defiantly looked like no harm, and she let her shoulders relax. She blinked slowly, tired herself and wanted to get back to sleep. |

Carissa listened intently, not missing a single word that came out of the Alphess's muzzle. "It's nice to meet you Alphess Star." Her gentle emerald green eyes watched as Alphess sat down as well. Compared to Alphess Star, Carissa was a tiny looking female. It was very obvious who was the more higher ranking wolf in this situation. As an Alphess should, Carissa noticed how confident Alphess Star looked. Carissa once had confidence as well but it was long gone now. Carissa watched Alphess Star and spoke in a quiet tone. "Well, I'm a fairly good huntress.... If you would like, I could prove myself maybe tomorrow. You seem awfully tired, Alphess Star." Carissa said with concern. To be quite honest, Carissa was tired too. Her whole body was sore and Carissa could bare keep her eyes open for even the shortest amounts of time. Carissa pondered through her brain, thinking of anything else that she should mention to Alphess Star. Then it hit her. Carissa's eyes looked at Alphess Star then back at her paws. In a nervous tone she spoke again. "There is something you should know about me though, Alphess Star...." She paused, collecting her words. "Although, once you find out about this... Secret... You might not want me in your pack..."Carissa's dirty white paws slightly shook, nervousness replaced her gentle looking emerald green eyes.

Smiling tiredly, she looked into the eyes of Carissa. She wanted to lye down, but that would be too submissive of her. She stayed bolt upright, but not making her muscles look tensed, but relaxed, just stretching them out. "That would be great. And yes, I think the two of us could use a good night's sleep." Keeping her gaze friendly and optimistic, She listened to the next part of what Carissa was saying about herself.
"There is something you should know about me, Alphess Star... Although once you find out about this... Secret... You might not want me in your pack..."[/s]
With those words, she instantly thought of Silver. Her Beta, loyal until the point of death. She expected one of those kind of issues she had from Carissa, since you wouldn't expect something like that from wolves like Silver or Carissa. She nodded again and spoke in a gentle voice, feeling the nervousness in Carissa's body language. "You may tell me, Carissa."

Carissa gave a heavy sigh, she looked down at her paws before looking back up at the Alphess. She thought to herself for a moment. "How do I tell Alphess Star that I'm... Different..." Carissa's subconscious glared at her and then hissed back in reply. Don't just make the Alphess wait you coward, tell her now!" Carissa's tone sparkled with nervousness. "How do I tell you this, without... Freaking you out..." She gave a moment to think before speaking again. "I grew up in a very... Different pack than what most wolves grow up in. You see, I can control a wolf's emotions or feelings... I can also talk to wolves through thoughts, especially if I have a biological or strong relationship with them." She paused before speaking again. "I would show you, but we have just met... When we have a strong bond, I can show you what I mean but controlling one's emotions..." A familiar scent tickled her nose. She wrinkled her nose slightly, she instantly knew who it was. "I have a friend here... That is, if she's made it here safely. Her name's Liliana... She told me about this pack."

She waited for only a few seconds, but she could see all the thoughts boiled up inside Carissa. It was a mix of confusion, nervousness, and weariness. Maybe more. She just st there like a good listener while she spoke. Giving a large smile, she wagged her tail a little bit. "You did not freak me out at all. I too have a power, but different from yours." She held up a fore paw, the pad facing the she wolf in front of her. A little ball of light was summoned just above the pad and floated there, illuminating their faces in the growing darkness.
"I haven't told anyone about this yet, although I have had this skill for awhile now. Whenever I need light, it is there to guide my way. I can tap into my energy sources as well to make it as well." She looked down at the dirty white fae with soft eyes, understanding her.

Carissa's eyes opened slightly more once Alphess Star told her about her power. She looked at the Alphess's paw and saw it gently glow. She looked back up at Star. "That's... Amazing, you're power... It's so... Interesting and unique." Carissa gave a small sigh of relieve, she felt a little more comfortable now that that secret was off her chest and out there in the open for Alphess Star to know. "Thank you for letting me be the first to know about your power." She looked around, noticing it was getting darker and darker. Carissa turned to face the Alphess. "It's getting late, and I'm sure you're very tired... Do you mind showing me where I could sleep for the night?" Carissa said with a sweet smile. She gave a slight yawn, tired as well. "Thanks for accepting me. I am truly grateful, Alphess Star."

Star smirked, letting the glow gently flicker out, leaving them in the dark. Her eyes seemed to glow now, but not with her light power. She was a bit happier now that someone knew about her secret too. "Thank you, it is very interesting to play around with." Nodding at Carissa, she got up and arched her back. "Camp is this way, I'm sure you will find a comfy place to sleep that isn't already taken. I will asses you at noon." She walked towards camp, taking the lead on her companion. She knew this wolf would be a good addition to her pack, knowing that she had a very useful power that would come in handy.

Carissa gave a grateful smile at Alphess Star. Her eyes glittered with excitement and happiness. Carissa stood up, following Alphess Star to the camp. Liliana's scent got stronger and stronger as they got closer and closer. Carissa looked at Star before finding a den. "Once again, thank you for accepting me Alphess Star. You will never know how truly grateful I am." She said in a soft sweet tone. Carissa turned around to go find a den. She hoped she would be helpful and serve a purpose for this pack. Of course her power was a very... Powerful and useful one. Carissa has only used it a couple of times. She loved her power but knew if it got the better of her, she could turn into something evil. She shuttered at the thought, then found an empty den walked into it and laid on the ground for a moment before falling into a deep sleep.
