The moon shined down on the barren border of Leoni. It was in fact night time. Shadino walked out of the den and hopped down onto the ground. He sat down and stared at the moon. He hadn't seen his mother or his sisters in awhile. It didn't bother him, but it was good to have someone to take your anger out on. He sighed and layed down, staring at the moon.

Vera woke up, still groggy, in her den. She wasn't awake enough to bother and see if Scar was with her or not, so she just padded out of the den. Dreams had woken her up, and she wanted some fresh air. Eve was on top of her small stone den, grooming her long pelt. She also saw Shadino. Vera wasn't sure what to make of him yet, him being the future Alpha and all.

Eve however, had never gone to sleep. She slept more during the day, as her pelt was more viable then. Her navy blue pelt, speckled with white, made her look like stars in the sky..

Shadino heard footsteps. He looked behind him and saw Vera. Then he looked back at the moon. His voice was dark and mysterious. "I didn't think you were up. I didn't think anyone was up.." He saw something sparkle, a distance from him. It was Eve. He never notice how shiny she was. He looked at the moon and his purple eyes began to glimmer.

[Leopard]

Vera smirked. "Neither did I." She looked up at the moon with Shadino. "Beutiful isn't it?" She looked up at the moon and thought of Ripfang and Lash. When will they come back? I hope Tyra never shows her face here, though.

Eve studied the two. What an odd pair... Shadino's eyes met hers. She stared back, with a hard, but respecting gaze. The night sky-like wolf jumped down from her den, and calmly padded to Vera and Shadino.

[AshWolf]

Shadino growled a low growl. "The moon? No. My father despises it. When the light goes away and night comes out, it's never truely darkness. The moon always has to light up the world, even at night time." He stared at the sky. "Though, wolves worship the moon, I wish it would just blend in with the night. Just let the stars shine." He heard more footsteps, but he just stared at the sky. "Other than that..the moon is..unique."

[Leopard]

Vera thought about that, and ignored his growl. "I guess I never thought about it like that. Back where I lived, the moon was the only thing that gave us light in the winter. So, yes it is Unique..." In Vera's perspective, Shadino seemed... too mature? But you needed to be when you have to live up to your dad's wants.

Eve stepped closer, and sat between Vera and Shadino. She rolled her eyes and looked at the moon, as well. "I hated when my family howled to the moon. They always acted as if it was a god. I see why your father thinks that though." Her growl was not towards anyone, but it was out of frustration.

[AshWolf]

Shadino nodded. "Yes. Well. Since I was born..here, I have to hate it. Being raised by my father and all." He looked at Eve. "Well atleast some of your family had a soul." He sighed.

Shoji saw Eve, Vera and Shadino. He padded up next to them. 'I see. No soul?' He smirked a bit.

[Leopard]

Eve growled. "Personaly, I think they had too much. They were a bunch of worthless pups."

Vera cocked her head. "I don't think you have to hate it. Just respect it."

Vera and Eve looked at Shoji. Eve rolled her eyes.

[AshWolf]

Shoji looked at Shadino. 'Young Lord, might I suggest talking to your father?' He ignored Eve's little eye rolling.

Shadino looked at Vera. "No. I have to. I must live up to ky father's expectations. This whole pack, everything my father has worked for..it all gets passed down to me. So I must hate. I respect no one or nothing but father." He glared at Shoji. "My father would leave a scar on my eye if I tried to talk to him. Shoji, unless you want me scarred, don't suggest such ridiculous nonsense." He rose up and padded towards the border line. "One day, I will kill every Hokiro wolf..to make my father proud of me."

[Leopard]

Eve couldn't help but think, Your father may be dead by then. They are a strong pack... But instead she said, "I'm sure you will." Not that he could hear her, anyway.

Vera just shook her head, disapointed. When this pack is yours, you can do whatever you want and think how you think you should. She didn't dare say that alound, incase Alpha Night was around. "Shoji, you really should think about what you say before you speak." The growl rumbled through her throat.

Scar groggily poked his head out of his den. "Vera..youre so loooouud." he yawned.

[AshWolf]

Shadino sighed. "You guys are only respecting me because I am the future Alpha. That is the way my father gains his respect. I want to be respected because of what I do as Alpha." He looked over at Scar. His stood up. "We are talking."

Shoji shrugged. 'Eh.' He looked at the sky. 'Young Lord. I respect your father because-' He was interrupted by Scar.

Scar jumped. "sorry, Young Lord." he backed back into his den.

[Leopard]

Eve looked into Shadino's eyes. "Then start thinking of what you might do. But I respect you because of how you think. Not fully because you're the next Alpha." Hopefuly he doesn't turn out like his dad. We don't need another dictator. Eve lashed her tail back and fourth.

[AshWolf]

Shadino looked away, as Eve spoke. He, then rose up and walked towards the moon. Then he stopped. "I don't have to rule..like my father?" He growled a bit. "No..I am going to keep this pack in check..this pack-"

Night walked up behind them. 'Isn't yours yet. Eve. Vera, my son must keep Leoni at the balance it is.' He growled. 'The rreason I keep my pack tough is because if we become too decent, another filthy pack will take control. We need to maintain control. I've had other packs from far off try to run Leoni, but because we are the way we are, they stay away. So, I trust that even you won't let us fall.'
