Zela smiled gently as she was licked, she then moved closer to him, and rubbed her fur against his. she stayed this close the rest of the walk to camp.

Phantom smiled and stayed close to her. The camp came into view and he padded to the center to drop the kill in the center. He looked at Zela and howled, wanting her to join in.

her tail tucked between her legs. it was only a howl, was it not? still, she was unsure, finally she convinced herself to join in. though her howl was only gentle, but still loud enough to be heard with phantom's

Phantom stopped his howl and padded over to Zela. He noticed her tail was tucked between her legs. Why was that? Was she afraid of him? He spoke up. "Is there something wrong?" He cocked his head and motioned to her tail.

Zela stopped howling afterwards and turned to her tail.
"Yeeah.... " she mumbled, as she sat on her hind legs.
"I dont like howling.... it makes me feel like... whoever howling should be together..... im not saying anything bad about you, its just that i havnt gotten over my last mate yet..... " she said, thinking of him, having her ears fall to her neck.

Magnolia looked up at Flame and smiled. "Thank you." She leaned into Flame, nuzzling him softly. She was content and this was her bliss. Although, she wondered if they would have pups someday? Or how strong the pack will be in a year from now? These questions were when she wanted to know the future.

Phantom let his ears and tail drop. "Oh, sorry." he walked away and went into the shadows of his den. He was mumbling to himself. "I should have known." he paced the den.

Flamed ran his tail along her side. "don't fret. Iroshi is strong. we are lucky to have the desert separting us from the other packs."

Zela sighed quietly, before stepping away from the baby carcass. she padded quietly into phantoms den.

Phantom sat down right before Zela came in. He looked back at her with sad eyes and his ears down. "I'm sorry if I kinda... Uh.... Forced you to howl with me. But I've never felt this way about someone before that isn't in my family." Phantom turned back away from her, his head down.

Zela smiled gently and padded to phantom. she sat next to him and her tail swayed gently.
"I have... and its amazing.... it was only for a short time but, my lover back then was so.... loving..? he gave his life to save me..... and i felet i would never feel that way again... but now we have eachother, and i know we can be just as close as i was back then with my past mate." she said, rubbing her head into his neck, hugging him as best as she could.

Phantom gave a warm smile and licked Zela on the forehead. "I'm sorry that you lost him but I would have never got to meet you. Like my mother says, 'Everything happens for a reason'. I have been running that in my mind ever since I left her." Phantom stopped licking her head and looked into Zela's bright, beautiful eyes. "Just tell me if I am coming on too strong."
