Fathomless Darkness walked to the top of a hill. He was ready for life beyond Sorrid City, Zaheth told him he should leave, for his talent would get him farther outside of Sorrid. Thunder rumbled in the distance, and the setting sun turned the sky bloodred. This was his favorite time of night. He lifted his head and powerfully howled his claim to Leoni Beta.

Night padded to his rock, where he could see a wolf. He didn't want to strain his pregnant mate, so he took care of things. He snarled. "What do you want?"

Fathomless Darkness stared directly into Nights eye with his own fathomless ones and said," I would like to be the Beta Male of Leoni."

Night gave the wolf a cold glare. "I don't care if you WANT to.." He was about to turn away. "EARN it. Convince me now."

Fathom nodded. he took a deep breath. his form shimmered, and he lept into and arch. he displayed his favorite battle moves that Zaheth had taught him, doging and spinning in a flowing, effortless Moving Circle, the second power of the Assassin's Way. he gathered all the power of his Circle, and exploded into one huge strike. his paw hit a rock the size of a wolf head. the rock split in two.

Night watched the wolf. "You're..ok." He padded onto a rock so he could look down at the male. "Your accepted..but." He growled. "You will listen to Thorn, Beta or not, she has been more experienced than..you AND you are permitted to stay in your own place..any problems will lead to death." He padded away. "Good night.."
