Ashley's Requim (Sad Death: Open)

The Leoni Territory. The very place of which Hokiro despised and hated all their lives. It was now that a sacrafice would have to be made. The war had barely even begun, but if it was possible to end it before it did, Ashley would want to stop it. The only way would be her death at the paws of Night. Alpha of Leoni. She knew it sickened her stomach to do such a thing. Fall at his paws and never be able to even attack him for all that he's done, but for the pack's sake, her daughter's sake, it had to be done.

The Alphess stepped onto the territory and sighed, letting out a long breathe. She then, slowlu, padded towards the Alpha's den. She stood up tall and remembered what Night had told her and her sister long ago. 'To stop a war, lives must be sacraficed.' This is what he ment. Ashley called out to Night. She knew he was in his den.

Out of the shadows, Night appeared infront of Ashley. The slight smurk apon his face was all he showed to her. "So you finally took my advice and decided to face me..smart girl." Ashley interrupted. "I have come to bring a deal..if you kill me off then you leave my daughter and the pack alone. Leave Hokiro alone. This is my treaty of peace to you..' Night had thoughts. Then he nodded. "Alright. I will make this quick. Your death will save your pack.." He swiftly appeared infront of her and put his paw on her, pinning her down. "From my rades of darkness...though then again, I have you where I want you, why not kill you and still attack? Hehaha." He laughed quietly and then clenched down on Ashley's neck. Ashley squirmed. "No. You liar..' Night bit down harder and let go, as he watched the Alphess fall, dead as can be. Then he laughed.


He dragged the corpse of the Alphess to the Hokiro border and threw her over, blood staind. "There's your peace treaty..now take it and enjoy it..it won't last long.." He turned away and disappeared.

Ghost who had seemingly been running for miles was out of breath. He desperately tried to catch up to his mate, but was in no physical condition to do so. "Man getting old sucks...." he muttered. As he neared the border of the Leoni pack he noticed something on their border. His eyes turned to grey pits of horror as he set his eyes on what he saw. He couldnt move an inch at what he was seeing. His stomach clench and he closed his eyes fighting back tears. He opened his eyes and ran to the blood stained corpse of his mate. He buried his muzzle into her fur "Ashley Im so sorry...." was all he said. He picked up his mate and dragged her body with him onto the Leoni territory. He was determined to go seek out Night. His eyes filled with fury, hate, and sadness. He thought back to Akkina he knew he wasnt coming home alive but he knew she would be fine. Ghost roared for Night to show himself and explain what this was all about even though at this point he didnt care.

Night stood up tall. The Alphess was dead. He heard something behind him. He turned around and let out. A slight growl. "Shadino!" Out of the den, Night's almost grown son emerged. His eyes were full of darkness. He stood next to his father and stared at Ghost. 'This is the alpha? Looks no better than a dog itself. I think you can handle him.' Shadino sat down and watched his father. Night quickly walked towards Ghost. With a growl he bared his teeth and snapped at Ghost, biting close to his face. "You dare bring that dead trash back onto our territory? You mutt.." He bit into his fur anf threw him onto the ground. "Your little Alphess died in vain. She wanted peace and she thougyt sacrafice would satisfy me. Well look where she ended up..." Night picked her dead body up and threw it onto the ground. "Look!" He put his paw on her body and laughed. "There will never be peace..not as long as Hokiro still stands..even after that..no peace. You will die along with your pathetic exscuse of a mate.."

Shadino stood up a bit. His hackles were raised incase a fight got too out of control. He was ready to fight and defend.

Ghost stood motionless and silent for a momment before speaking "death wont stop a Ghost...." he said he looked at Shadino and then back at Night. "I know Sullivan died ashamed it wasnt by my paws ,but she's dead" he said looking straight at him. He moved in closer to Night fearlessly and stood face to face with the alpha. "I know I wont be walking away alive afterwards ,but for now Im prepared to give the hell you deserve" he said before lunging out at Night. His life flashed before his eyes and he smiled "if I could do it all over again......I would" he thought. He dug his claws into his body and bit down as hard as he could. He didnt aim for his neck but for his face. He crunched down hearing some bone crack on his skull. he looked at Shadino keeping an eye on the potentially dangerous wolf. He then tore off a chunk of flesh from his face.

Night didn't hesitate as Ghost jumped at him. He barked a bit, as Ghost bit down on him. Then he bled from his face. Night jumped back wards and then shook the blood from his face. He smirked and looked into Ghost's eyes. "You speak of Sullivan, but thing is..I didn't love Sullivan like you loved Ashley. Sullivan and Me were aquaintances of love. You and that half breed dog were in love, see where th love went Ghost? It all went to hell!" Night ran towards Ghost and threw himself at him. He took his paws and dug into the flesh of him. He held him on thr ground and then growled. "Now you will die like your mate." He opened his jaws and bit into Ghost's neck. Then he clenched down his hardest and let Ghost drop. Night still held his paws on Ghost's neck. He looked at Shadino. "Come...finish him off.."

Shadino gulped and then nodded. "Yes father.." He padded towards them.

Ghost half dead gasping for air looked at the young wolf and gave a look into his eyes "love......it always....floats away from......hell all the way too...." he didnt have the energy to speak left. He growled and squirmed very little. "Ashley Im coming" he thought and he gave a happy smile and a slight laugh. He blinked slowly taking in everything. Everything was becoming a blur his memories and his vision. He could hear his heart beating struggling to keep the blood in his body. The only thing he could move now was his eyes. hHe just stared at Night he didnt know why ,but he saw himself in him somehow. He just thought it was death slowly creeping up on him ,but thats all he could think about and then he drifted into a dream state he could see light at the end. He took in a final gasp of air and stepped in.

Night knew what had come to the day that he would kill the Alphas. Total war would strike out. Maybe even other packs would join in to stop Leoni from abliterating Hokiro. Night didn't care. He knew Sullivan was probably laughing down there in hell. She was probably laughing at how easy it was to kill both Alphas in one night. Night smirked and looked down at Ghost. "You should be happy...you managed to bring a scar to my face. Nice job.." He backed off of Ghost and looked at Shadino. "Now Son. Finish him off." Shadino gave a nod and spoke no words. He only thought of his mother when doing the killing jobs. He sighed and then stood up tall. He then opened his jaws and prepared to kill off the Alpha. He leaned close to his neck and bit into it. He then thought. I was cursed into my birth. Not blessed. He clenched down and let the Alpha die. Then he backed away.

Night smirked. "Now for the real surprise.." He took the bodies and left them on the border close up by the den. Then he disappeared.

Akkina heard noises outside. She woke up and looked around. Her mother and father had not come back for awhile. She was getting worried. She then rose up. Her ears perked up. "Hm?" The scent of blood came into her nose. She walked outside and looked over. Her eyes widened, gasping. Then she froze up. She could feel tears coming down her cheeks. She then went to their bodies and screamed loudly.

Cody was jolted awake from his nap by terrible screaming. "Akkina!" he howled, scrambling up and dashing out of his den. He ran past Summit, who scrambled to his paws and followed his stricken son. They dashed past a sunbathing Golden Starshine who looked up in surprise. They zipped past Shiski, who bounded after them after a moment of confusion. The three ran past Stormcloud and Misha, out into the land. "I'm coming Akkina!" Cody shouted, running faster then he had ever ran before. He broke away from his parents and thundered around a boulder, heart pounding in his chest like a wild horse. He spotted Akkina in the distance and began to shout. "Akkina! AKKINA!" he howled into the wind. She was standing over something on the ground. "oh no......" Cody stumbled to a halt and fell down, panting. "oh Akkina......" he looked stickenly at the bodies of the Alphas.

Dachio who had been napping the whole time jolted awake at the cry of his sister. He could see alot of the pack crowded around something. He couldnt exactly see clearly, but his body grew cold when he smelt the scent of death. He slowly made his way up to where everyone was. He broke through the crowd "move, everyone whats going...." he stopped as soon as he saw his sister crouched over the bloody bodies of their parents. There were no words he could say that could describe how he felt. He slowly padded over to the bodies his knees shaking with every step. He finally collapsed onto parents' corpses tears welled up in his eyes but he fought them back. He looked at his sister, he knew couldnt leave now he had to stay and help now. They were officially in war mode now. He looked at his sis and grabbed her and snatched her away from their bodies and started to pad away. He looked back to the wolves "take the bodies back to camp and take them to their dens" he said with a strong voice. "I need a momment to talk with my sister alone" he said carrying her away to the fields.

Akkina still lay near the bodies, tears filled her eyes, her soul. It was too late to go back in the past and undo what had been done. She could hear Cody. She didn't look back at him. She just stared at her mother and father, thinking back to the times she had with them. She remembered when these wolves came to attack the pack, Akkina was just a pup, but she stayed with her father and helped him. She knew that she couldn't do that now. She felt someone pull her. She still kept her eyes on the bodies, not being able to cry any longer. All she could do was stare in fear. She then was pulled away from the bodies. Akkina gave one last look, before turning away.

Take the bodies away, her brother said. She hated that word, bodies. Those were her parents..not just bodies. When they arrived in the field, Akkina said nothing. She then sucked up her tears and spoke, still shaky in her voice. "Dachio..don't stay if you don't want to..you must know that I am the Alphess of this pack now...so I must lead the pack through this war. I don't want you getting killed as well." She stood up tall and looked serious. "We don't have time...Leoni could strike any time now.." She turned away.

Chi saw the alphas die at the hands on Night and his son where he perched and watched they drag off the bodies. He couldn’t believe that war was upon them. He was sorry to see it come. He wasn’t one for death and war. He didn’t want to relieve the day that his whole pack was wiped out down to the last cub leaving only him alive. This war would strike a knife in his heart as memories of his past caught up with the here and now. He remembered meeting Akina He liked her when she and Cody were in the town long before he joined up with Night and the pack. He lowered his head he wasn’t ready for this war he didn’t want to lose the people he cared for but it was coming wither he liked it or not. He was a bit scared as well would he die this time in the war. He barely escaped when he was younger only being away was he spared. Night taught him of revenge and helped him kill the ones who murdered his pack and he was forever grateful and devoted to Night.

Dachio stopped his sister "wait....Im staying and Im not going to die" he said sternly. He looked deep into her eyes "yes, we miss them already ,but they knew this would come eventually and they lived good full lives" he said softly. He gave his sister a tight hug "its ok.....it'll all be ok" was all he thought to say. He looked at her "so.....Hokiro Alphess what do we do now?" he asked his eyes looking as dull as his father's. He could tell their parents were looking down on them smiling. They were basically adults now and he looked at his younger sister how big she had gotten. He laughed slightly "its funny I dont even see my silly little sister anymore I see a responsible Alphess in front of me now" he said with a slight smile. "We will win and we will make peace ,but first we need allies for war is coming fast" he said looking over to Gugi territory.

Akkina looked at Dachio. There was no way he was leaving now. Akkina's eyes widened as he hugged her. Then she smiled a bit. She stood up and looked at Dachio in a proud manner. "What do we do? We start getting the pack to train and we start sending out peace messages. Let's start where you choose." Akkina nodded a bit and smiled. "Well we can't stay young forever can we? You want to know what I see brother?" She smiled. "I see dad. In you mostly. You're doing a good job playing his part in this war. I will also do my part to play mothers and lead." She winked and then looked at Dachio, as he looked to Gugi territory.

She followed his gaze and then nodded. "Okay brother. You lead the way. I will follow behind. Let it be only us going. We wouldn't want to bring a large group. It would look like we were trying to attack that way."

Night looked around and saw Chi. He walked towards him. Then he shook the blood from his face again. "Listen Chi. We are going to have a war on our hands..I need you to do two things for me..Spread the word around the pack and you and Shadino go off to the city and live. If this gets too ugly..I willl need you and Shadino alive to re-create Leoni. Get new members and all." He stood up straight and gave a nod. "Okay then?" He sounded more calm. He knew that he met Chi long ago when he wasn't so evil, but still vile. He knew that to get to Chi he had to still act that way to him.

Cody, Shiski, and Summit padded slowly back into camp. Shiski and Summit had carried the bodies of Ashley and Ghost into the camp and gently laid them down in the center of camp. Cody curled up mournfully in a corner and put his paws over his eyes.

Misha and Stormcloud looked up from what they were doing. "what's all th fuss abo-" Misha broke off. "great stars above.....the Alphas!" she and Stormcloud ran to their parents. "how did this happen?"

Golden Starshine looked up from her den and saw the bodies. Her mouth dropped open and she rose, ghostlike, and walked from her den. "oh my gosh......"

Shiski growled in barely-held fury. "Leoni will pay for this." her small body shook with anger. "I promise, I will not die until this is avenged." her eyes shaded over with red. Summit quickly moved to comfort is mate. "the time of anger is not now, my little demon."

Skop walked into camp with a bag of Chinese food and a soda. "hey guys I'm back! I got what you wanted Ghost!" he spotted them and the stuff dropped from his mouth. "by the claws of Kirin the Cougar....." he swore, making up his own cuss. WTF? Kirin the Cougar? Skop, you're loosing your touch!

Dachio looked at his sister "you look like mom too...you know what lets handle this like a team you can work in the camp with the others to prepare them I'll go around and try to convince other packs to help us" he said calmly. He finally let a tear drop from his eye. "yeah maybe you should get back Alphess Akkina" he said wiping the tears that were welled up in his eyes. He was feeling proud and sad. All he could do was smile like his father would in times like this. "Oh Im going to need Misha to come with me" he wouldnt rather anyone else to accompany him on this long journey than his mate. He looked hard at his sister "Im going to be gone a long time Im going to miss you ,so dont start the war without me" he said with a smirk.
