Akkina, now a pre-adult wolf, padded through the plains. She liked looking back months ago, when she was a pup. She smirked and layed on a hill of grass. She rolled over on her back and looked at the stars. She breathed out in relief. All her troubles were over. She didn't have to be alpha, she was older and she had more responsibilities. She smiled and stared at the moon.

Dachio came running right behind his sister. They both had grown since they were pups. He looked at his sister and laughed it was getting to be the time when he was going to have to take over the pack for his parents. He looked away but he wanted to explore the world still like his father had. He turned to his sister "Akkina can I ask you something?" he asked softly.

Akkina looked over to her big brother. She smiled. She had never told Dachio this, but she looked up to him. Everything he did, she wanted to do. She raised an eye brow at him. "Of course you can. What is it brother?" She waited for a response.

He looked down "well you know mom and dad are getting kinda old right?" he said softly. "we both know they're not going to be around for much longer and......well I know they want me to takeover the pack, but i want to have a look around the world a little first and I want to know if you can....." he stopped himself as his father came.
Ghost padded up behind the two "what are you two doing out here" he said with a slight cough. He looked at Dachio and smiled he looked exactly like Ghost. Ghost looked at both of them "you two have grown so much" he said proudly.

Akkina looked at Dachio. She knew he was about to ask her to be Alpha. She knew her parents didn't have much time. She just didn't want to have all the responsibility. Of the pack, the future. The wars that Night's kids will cause. She heard Doby's son ran off to Leoni. What if her pups do that. All that responsibility.. She looked at her father. "Dad. Hey." She looked over at Dachio.
Ashley padded up behind Ghost. 'My children. My grown up children.' She smiled at them and then at Ghost. 'Our growwn up children..' She looked at Dachio and gave a nod. 'Future Alpha.'

Cody and Misha trotted towards them from the other direction. They both bowed to the Alphas. Cody sat next to Akkina and Misha trotted over to Dachio.

Dachio shifted uncomfortabley "Misha can you help with something.....over there" he said pointing and padding away. He didn't like all the eyes setting on him and felt constricted.
Ghost watched Dachio leave he could sense he didn't want to deal with the pack just yet. He sighed heavily and looked at Akkina. "Can I talk to you Akkina.......alone" he said giving a look to Ashley and Cody.

Akkina smiled, as Cody came. Then she raised an eyebrow at Dachio. 'What's with him..' She looked at her dad and nodded. "Um..sure. Be right back." She gave a nod to Cody and her mom. Then she walked beside her dad. ""Yes?"
Ashley was a bit worried. It was just her and Cody. She smirked. 'So..when are you two having pups?' She smiled.

Cody jumped. "p-pups? Who said anything about pups?" he flinched. "sorry Alpha Ashley! Didn't mean to speak so harshly." he shuffled his paws. "I've never thought about pups. I mean, I'm still a Rookie."

Ghost looked at Akkina with soft eyes "you know I won't be around much longer and well I see that you've grown up from being a small whinning pup" he said smiling. "Well I want you to take over the pack instead of Dachio" he said. "I feel you can take responsibility and make tough decisions to lead the pack" he said as he patted her head.
Dachio looked at Misha "can I ask you something?" he said nervously. He looked down and then around "well do you think......we should run away for awhile, get away from the pack and just relax?" he said looking into her eyes hoping she would agree with him.

Akkina looked at her father. She had to think for me a moment. Then she began to shake her head, as she backed away. "No..this isn't fair..what if I wanted..to travel around the world?" She growled a bit. Then she looked down at the ground and sighed. "Oh. I forgot. No one thought about what I want in this family.."
Ashley smiled. "Calm yourself. I was only being curious. Hehe."
Akkina growled. "I'm scared to rule as Alpha dad!" She looked at Ghost.

Ghost looked Akkina "ok Im sorry Akkina, do you want to be alpha?". He sighed softly "do you know how this pack formed Akkina?" he said with a tired expresion.
Dachio smiled "Im glad you think so too" he said happily. He nuzzled her then looked away "maybe I should take the pack..." he thought to himself.
