Leopardfang padded out of her den with a limp pup in her jaws. She went over to the alphas, her mate, and Brightstorm. She dropped the pup at her alpha's feet. "He is dead." She said this with almost no emotion in her voice. She knew something like this would happen.

Magnolia looked down at her gray paws. Then her eyes moved to the limp dead pup lying on the cold ground. She looked up at LeopardFang and sighed. "LeopardFang... I'm so sorry your newborn pup just died. Life is so precious yet so fragile." She looked back down at the pup then back up at LeopardFang.

Leopardfanf siged. "Yes, but I have two other healthy ones." She looked up at Bluefire. "Can you bary him behind our den, please? I can hear the other two screeming for milk."
He nodded and took the little pup gently by the scruf.

Magnolia looked at LeopardFang and then at Bluefire. Today was an emotional rollercoaster for all of the pack.

Flame bowed in head in respect for the dead pup. He thought of Magnolia and their precious pups. " I will do anything and everything to protect them." he vowed quietly to himself. Even if it means other pack members have to go hungry, he thought.

Magnolia sighed heavily, the thought of the Alpha's heir came to her mind. She wanted to know which one of her pups would become their heir. Magnolia knew that she would do anything to protect her pups. Her thoughts then turned to the hunters. Where could they possibly be? She wondered, her hunger growing.

Flame raised his head. he scented the air, wondering the same thing a Magnolia. he looked around for movement. "Where are they?"

Leopardfng's stomach gave a loud growl, loud enough for everyone to hear. She moaned. "Man, can birthing take alot out of you..." She siged and padded back to her den with the other pups. She turned around to the alphas again. "I'm very sorry for not telling you about my litter sooner. I was just scared." She almost padded in completely before she turned one last time. "Oh, and if there is any extra meat, could you spare some for me?" She hoped she didin't sound too greedy but she had to ask. Bluefire had finished buring (I can't spell for my life!  ) their pup and padded to the entrance of his den. He bowed to the alphas respectfully and padded into his den. |

Magnolia stiffly nodded. "The next time when you believe your pregnant but still aren't sure, tell us, to give Flame and I a heads up." Magnolia turned her head to see if the hunters were back from their trip "If, there is enough meat for both of us, then yes, you can eat. But if not, I will send them back out..." She padded back into her den and laid down to rest for a little.

Alkai saw a doe that looked heavily pregnant, she was weak. Alkai didn't like to target doe's that were caring young, but LeopardFang had just given birth and Magnolia was hungry. She twitched her ear and had her eyes on the doe.
Bella looked at Alkai's direction, noticing that her eyes were on a pregnant doe. She was a little surprised, but nodded and crouched down into the under growth. She crept closer to the doe and then she jumped and as she hit the ground she recoiled her muscles until she started to run. She swiped one paw just centimeters away from it's flank but didn't catch it. Alkai jumped from a corner and started to run.

Brightstorm soon went into labor. Mudmist had left her leaving her with only Leopardfang. At least she had her unlike she wasn't there for her friend. Brightstorm soon felt one little pup come out. A female, then another female, One more female,(By after that she was hoping a MALE!) and one little male.
"Mudmist!",she called as her mate ran into Brightstorm's birthing place.
"They are beautiful!"Mudmist said.,"That one with the yellow looks like you."
Brightstorm smiled."The other two females look excatly like you!"

Alkai jumped and landed on the doe's back, bringing her down. She pinned it to the ground and Bella came in and cut off her air supply. Once it was limp and lifeless Bella and Alkai dragged it back to camp. Bella set the carcass near the Alpha's den, knowing the alphess had asked for food. Alkai went back to her den and Bella came over to Magnolia and dipped her head before speaking. "Alkai and I just caught a doe. We suspect that she is pregnant. The carcass is lying near the entrance of your den, Alphess Magnolia." She dipped her head again before padding away softly.
Magnolia thanked Bella and smiled gratefully. She looked over where the carcass laid and sighed. She inhaled deeply, getting the scent of newborn pups. She thought to herself I guess Brightstorm had delivered her pups as well... Hmm... Magnolia sat there for a moment. She was happy that Leopard and Brighstorm had their pups but also disappointed. She had always assumed and hoped that she would be the first to deliver Iroshi's first litter of pups, and if not first then second to deliver. But it was clear that, that hope had disappeared. She got up and went next to the carcass. She wanted to check on Leopard and Brightstorm but was too famished. She started to eat, ripping off a piece of the doe.

Flame walked up to Magnolia. " Brightstorm just had three pups, two females and a male." he sat. " we should probably send the hunters out again to get food as backup storage, if they aren't too tired." he licked her. "glad to see your eating."
