Leopardfang hung her head slightly. "They are good. I just wish the other hadn't passed." She thought of the little male, too weak to drink. They had found him dead right when he was born.
She then thought back to her other son, Cannon, (same name?) who had died in the storm that had seperated her pack. (I have an idea...) Leopardfang couldn't help but to think the alphas little orange pup looked strangly like him. She pointed her nose at him. "Cannon is a good name for that one." She didn't wait for a relpy and just walked out of the cave rudly, without being dissmissed. The thought of him made her teer up, and she didn't want her alphas to question her.

Magnolia looked up at LeopardFang, she had sensed something was wrong with her, but didn't bother to ask. She spoke. "I'm sorry for your loss. Well, just be thankful that none of the pups passed away. I'm sure you'll be a great mom, LeopardFang..." She then noticed LeopardFang walking out of the den without excusing herself. She didn't think that was too big of a deal but was a little surprised. LeopardFang is usually very polite, but the thought came to her that she might be upset about her pup that wasn't alive. She looked up at Flame. "Cannon? How does that sound to you, Flame?"

Flame cocked his head. "Cannon Sunblaze..... I like it!" he smiled. "I think that's a very good name." he turned. "yoohoo, Gamma Leopardfang, your pups want you. I think."

Magnolia smiled and looked at Flame. "So, the little orange pup is Cannon Sunblaze. But, what will we name the two other pups?" She looked down at the pups. There was a pup with a bluish tint. She thought for a moment. "How about we name the little male pup with the bluish tint, Cobalt?"

(It was the same names thing. I had said in some earlier post that Leopardfang and Bluefire lost their only son, Cannon, in a sandstorm and now DT wanted to name a pup Cannon.)
Leopardfang ignored Flame. It wasn't like her, but she now wished she hadn't seen Cannon's dead, broken body lying in the sand after the storm. She wished that she still believed he was alive somewhere, like Brightsorm and Mudmist.

Flame frowned at Leopardfang and turned back to his mate. "I like Cobalt. he looks like a Cobalt Sunblaze." he crouched down and smiled at the pup. "Cannon and Cobalt!"
Cannon yipped. he liked his new name.

Magnolia grinned and looked down at the little female. She was the runt of the three. She then looked up at Flame. "What about the little female?"
OOC: Since the little female dies early on, I thought that making her the runt of the litter would make a little more sense.

Brightstorm had taken a small nap and now woke up to the sent of warm milk and pups.

Magnolia smiled at her mate then looked back down at the three pups. They were really just tiny balls of fur. But, they already gave her such happiness. She turns back to Brightstorm. "How are your pups doing?"

Magnolia looked down at Cannon, and laughed softly. She had a feeling that he would be the trouble maker out of the three.

Meanwhile, Bluefire was watching over the two pups now as Leopardfang walked in. She growled at herself. "How could I? He was my first son? Why?" She slmped down so close to the pups, they yipped in suprise until they realized it was their mother and began suckling.
Bluefire touched his cold, wet nose gently to Leopardfang's paw. "What did you do?
Leopardfang looked up at him to his peircing blue eyes with agony. "I suggested to the Alphas to name one of their sons Cannon and they liked it! How could our Cannon ever forgive me?" She started to sob into her paws.

Magnolia's ears perked up and she looked outside. She heard LeopardFang's soft cries and wanted to know what was going on. Although, she stayed in her den because the pups started to suckle. She sighed, she wanted to know what was bothering LeopardFang so much that would make her start crying. She wasn't entirely sure why she just broke down. She realized that once LeopardFang mentioned naming their pups Cannon, that she bolted out the den. She thought that that might have been why, but why would that name make her sad? She turned back to Flame. "What do you think made LeopardFang so upset?" They still hadn't named the little female, which bothered Magnolia.
