A Quarrel Inside...(open to city wolves)

Bone returned to his base slowly, his mind was still racing from yesterday. His eyes looked around the empty base as he padded inside. He kept thinking not noticing that he was bumping into objects in his path. He just sat in the darkness and just thought as the quietness surrounded him. His yellow eyes were the only thing visible in the complete darkness.

Arumi padded into a alleyway. She couldn't keep her mind off of Bone. When he licked her, she felt happy, a feeling that she hadn't felt in awhile. She sighed, thinking about him. Then she hopped onto the building, barely making it up there. She gently pulled herself up. Then she looked back and saw Bone's base in the distance. She put her ears down and sighed. Then she howled.

Bone perked up at the sound of a howl. He slowly padded outside and looked up to see Arumi. He gave a slight softer howl to let her know he was here. He shyed away a little thinking she was going to say something about the day before. His fur fluffed up at the thought.

Arumi gave a gentle smile when she heard Bone's howl. She was still a bit nervous. She stood up and jumped off of the building, not landing on her feet. "Oops..hehe." She rose up and put her ears down, becoming embarassed. "Uh..hi Bone.."

Bone smiled shyly as his fur fluffed up a little more. He looked like a big ball of fur. "Hi...Arumi" he said trying not to make eye contact with her. His tail wagged slowly, he was happy to see her, but felt somewhat uncomfortable.

Arumi chuckled a bit at Bone's fur. "..I like your new hairstyle." She got silent, still smiling. Her purple eyes became dimmed. She tried to change the subject. "Let's go eat..I know where a meat place is.." She put her ears up, waiting for Bone's response.

Bone laughed a little trying to lick his fur down. His head popped up when she said "go somewhere to eat". He stopped for a second and smiled lightly "sure let's get going then" he said smiling. He began to pad off when his fur fluffed up again. "Why am I so nervous...." he whispered to himself.

Arumi padded ahead. "We should be close....uh to the place." She stopped, a distance from the butchers'. Then she went behind the shop. There was a garbage full of meat. She wagged her tail and grabbed a piece of meat and gave it to Bone, touching his nose with hers. Her eyes stared into his.

Bone grabbed the meat and looked into Arumi's eyes. His fur fluffed up again "Um....you have this piece I'll.....go get another one....if you want he said softly.

Arumi quickly dropped the meat. "No..it's fine..I'm not that hungry.." She turned away and sat down. "So.." She said, looking at him.

"Whats on your mind Arumi?" he asked. His eyes looked down at the meat then back at Arumi. He felt his tail sweep the ground before he sat down.

Arumi smirked. "Oh nothing.." She nudged Bone. "Oh, come on. Why did you kiss me back there?" She said, still smiling.

"Um...." he turned away and kept his eyes away from her. "Well...." he trailed off. He turned towards her and pulled her close. "Is it really important" he said smiling before he kissed her again. He didn't know why but he just did what he thought was good.

Arumi was waiting for his answer, but he turned and kissed her again. She kissed him back. She backed away slowly. "What am I doing?" She looked at Bone, but then looked around. Aoto, he trailed through her head again. The she put her foot down. "I am sick and tired of waiting for him!" She ran to Bone and kissed him back.

Bone smiled as she kissed him back. He backed away a little "what about your mate?" he asked turning away. "We could never be...you know" he said with dissapointment. He couldn't bear not to be her mate.
