A greeting of Death?..(Open)

A white wolf ran from a dark alley way. Surami ran away from the shadows behind him. A faint howl came to his ears. Breathing heavily, he turned down a street, that seemed barren. It was quiet and dark. Surami padded down the street. He heard no howl. "Are they gone?" He looked around, with his ears up. Then all of a sudden to big gray wolves hopped in front of him, growling. Surami ran the other direction, kicking a rock against one of the wolves nose. They ran after him, growling. Surami made all kinds of turns, trying to loose them. Then he hit a dead end. "Oh no.." The wolves came up behind him. He turned around. He then jumped over the wolves and on to a rooftop, leaving them. He looked back and saw no one. He hid in a alleyway. "Phew.."

A silvery grey and black striped wolf lay as still as a rock on a wall that was in shadow from the roof of a derelict building. She had had a run in with a gang earlier who had heard of her and her 'services' and asked her to do a small 'job' for them. Which included disposing of a wolf that they were after. Naturally she had taken it on, it was what she did after all. Doing the dirty worrk for wolves who were either scared to get their own paws dirty, didn't have the skill to do it or were too lazy. She would have thought that this gang had the stomach to kill one of their own, so she guessed they were either rubbish at fighting or just didn't want to waste their time killing wolves that had a deathwish.

The wolf she had been tailing for this gang had come into her sight now and her icy eyes were locked on target as he hid in the alleyway she stood over. Her black striped tail bristled a little as she crouched on the wall a lot like an alley cat that was getting ready to pounce on an unsuspecting mouse. She curled her lips back, ready to take this wolf down in a split second. The moment he turned around and his throat was in view she would go for the kill. It was much easier for her and less stressful for her victim if she it made a swift and quick kill; there would be less pain involved if they had no time to struggle.

Surami's ears perked up. He sensed a unfamiliar presence. He ignored it, but it was making him feel quirky. He turned around and narrowed his eyes. He growled. "Alright, come on out." He looked around. "I'm not gonna hurt you-" He heard another howl, it was from the gang. He needed a place to hide. He looked back, before turning and looking around. "Oh geez..I need a place to hide."

The moment he turned around she leapt off the wall, aiming for his throat. She caught a glimpse of his eyes and saw unease, maybe a little bit of fear. She had seen it countless times, but those eyes of his reminded her so much of her brother. She leapt infront of him, trapping him between herself and the wall she had leapt from. She would find this hard, killing a wolf whos eyes reminded her so much of her brother who was killed.

Her striped fur shone in the light a little and her icy blue eyes sparkled. "I'm sorry..." She said to him quietly before darting at him quickly, jaws open. She was an assassin, this was her job.

Surami watched the she-wolf leap at him, but she stopped. Now it was her and Surami. He stared at her icy eyes. Then as sje opened her jaws, Surami jumped in the air and landed behind her. He stood there with one paw lifted. "Y-You want to kill me..a beautiful wolf like you wants to kill me..Why?" He tilted his head.

She missed her target? Looking over her shoulder as he spoke to her she narrowed her eyes. "It's my job to do the dirty work for others, i don't want to kill anyone..." She growled softly. "If i knew anything other than how to kill, things may be different..." She turned, planning to land a hit this time, if she spoke to him any longer she would find herself unable to complete her task.

The moment he called her beautiful she stopped. "What did you say?.." She asked, she'd never been called anything like that before.

Surami backed away. Then his ears perked up. "Yeah, I said your beautiful. I'd thought you get comments like that all the time. I mean you are." Surami looked at her. "There are total different ways to handle things, but if your so worthy of getting rid of me.." Surami sat up straight. "I'd be willing to get killed by a beauty such as yourself."

She was about to go for the kill again when once again his words stopped her. He'd just let her kill him? Why? Didn't this wolf value life at all? Her eyes fell, why couldn't she kill him? Glancing at him once more, she darted around, if she ran she wouldn't need to kill him. Who cared if her reputation went down the drain, this wolf made her want to change her ways.

She darted down the alley away from him and into one of the gang members that had hired her. "That wolf ran ahead. Chase him down and i'll cut him off..." The wolf ran in the direction she said, once he was out of hearing distance she turned back to the wolf. "It's the first, and last time me helping anyone..." She leapt up onto the roof and started to bound across the rooftops.

Surami heard another wolf come. He hid. Then he watched the female. 'What is she doing?' She helped him. Surami listened to her words. "Thank y-" Before he could finish, she ran on the rooftops. He sat there for a minute. "Hm, she is interesting." Surami followed the female, but kept a distance. Curious to get to know her. He then padded next to her. "So, why do you do it? You know kill wolves? I've never scene a wolf killer like you. It was like this one time I saw a squirrel who was trying to be a mouse. It didn't work out. Hey did you see that gang that was only full of females? I was gonna head by there." He smiled. "I'm Surami, by the way."

As she left she realised that he was following her, soon he was at her side. "I know nothing else but killing... I figure that if i kill others for others, then no one becomes corrupt but me. I'm corrupt anyway so i don't matter, but i don't like seeing others become like me, so i do the dirty work for them..." She raised an eyebrow as he started talking about squirrels and mice. What the hell was he on about?

She listened to him speak anyway, 'did you see that gang that was only full of females? I was gonna head by there.' Why was he off to a gang purely of females, trying to pick a female up or something? 'I'm Surami, by the way.' She didn't look at him, just continued walking briskly. "Katana."

Surami wagged his tail. "Nice name. Matches your beauty." Surami padded next to her, trying to keep up. "So, what do you like? I mean, what do you see in a wolf who you'd want to mate up with?" Surami smiled. "I'm just trying to know you better."

[Feral Alchemist]

She raised an eyebrow. "What beauty?.." She quickened the pace again. "Do i really look like the sort of wolf who is interested in a mate? Anyone to mate up with me is seriously unlucky considering i'm an assassin..." She flicked her striped tail from side to side, slowing down a little. Her icy blue eyes locked onto another gang member. "You might not want to hang around long. They're still looking for you..."

Surami wiggled his eyebrows. "Oh really." Then he growled a little. A gang member was in his sight. "Oh, don't be rediculous. They don't bother me." Surami padded behind Katana. "But, I'll stay out of sight. I'll be where ever you are Kat. Just incase." Surami ran behind a building. He stayed close to Katana.

'Kat?' She thought. 'Just who was he calling Kat?' Still, she'd overlook it since she had never had a nickname before. "If they don't bother you then why run from them?.." She asked him quietly before rolling in a little dust and grime that was on the roof. Hopefully it would mask the scent of Surami on her. Leaping down from the building to where the other wolf was, she padded over to him, her face showing no emotion. She could see that it was the leader. "He's not this way either." The wolf snarled at her. "You're an assassin, this should have been sorted out an hour ago. Yet, you're still hunting for him? You don't live up to your reputation." Katana growled slightly. "I'm sorry, i wasn't aware that there was a time limit. What? You have to be home for tea by 6? Just let me get my job done, by morning his carcass will be at your paws." The wolf bared his fangs at her attitude but shook it off. He knew she could kill him.

Katana turned, whipping her striped tail across his face before bounding into the shadows again, in the opposite direction to Surami. If she went towards him she risked being followed and Surami being found.

Surami watched Katana and the wolf. *Why me?* Surami then noticed Katana walk opposite of him. "That is it, I can't stay here any longer. I'll leave, but Kat can't know." Surami slowly came out of the darkness, then he quickly ran onto a rooftop. He looked back, breathing heavily. "I'm sorry Kat." He hopped down into a alleyway. Then he howled, letting her know he is leaving.
