Dawn watched as everyone suddenly turned up and started gossiping about the alphess. She sat down on her haunches with a huff. Scars comment brought a smirk to her face about Sullivan being picky. "It's true she is, if Thorn heard you say that about Sullivan there'd be hell to pay. She's the most loyal to her." Thorn padded out of her cave at the ruckus of everyone gathered discussing Sullivan. "If i heard what?" She asked, her eyes narrowed at Dawn a little. Dawn smirked, "nothing at all."

Meanwhile, faint whines and shuffling sounds were coming from Sullivans den. Soon followed by a couple of yelps. A while after Sullivan padded outside towards Night looking rather bedraggled and tired and a great deal slimmer.

Night heard whines. Then he finally saw his mate come out. "You did it?" He smiled. "May I see them?"

a small, white pup blindly dragged her tiny body across the cold floor. she made tiny grunting sounds as she navigated her way around the large den. after some time she had walked into what she sought to be a bush, so she kept on walking however, she was actually walking into her father's leg. she came to a point where she got tired and fell to her side, still making the small grunting noise as she lay on the ground.

Scar sighed." I miss Vera." he looked sad." I hope she survived."

Thorn growled at Scars words as he spoke about Vera. "Survived what? Exactly.." She asked with a slightly dangerous tone in her voice. The pack had wondered what had happened to Vera after she disappeared. Dawn slunk away from the group and back into hercave to avoid the possible tide of rage that might erupt from Thorn depending on what Scar said.

Sullivan Smirked slightly at Night and nodded before padding back into the cave, showing him that he could come and see them now. She laid down, curling her body around them to keep the three pups warm.

Shoji looked down at Scar from his tree. "What did she get hunted down or something?"

Night slowly padded in the cave he could here the whines and whimpers. He gazed apon the pups. alot of them had Sullivans eyes and his marks. "They're beautiful." He layed next to Sullivan. "Like you."

Scar looked at the others. "we were out hunting rabbits. turns out, the elk were stampeading early. we heard them approch, but the front line was so wide that Vera didn't make it out in time." he stopped and bowed his head. "the last i saw of her, she was clinging to the back of an elk, fighting to hold on like all of Leoni." his eyes hardened. "if she is indeed dead, i will slay every elk i set eyes on. if she's alive, she'll find her way back. i know she will."

chi looked over " but her body was never found and i didn't scent any blood in the area. Maybe she got away from them but was taken a long way with the herd. " Chi missed Vera He had really liked her and he enjoyed his classes with her. He wasn't quite sure about Scar though.

Scar nodded."thats what i hope."

Shoji looked away. he hopped down. "If you miss her..forget about her..If she misses you she'll come back.." He sat down. "It's a shame that you couldn't even protect her."

Scar glared at Shoji. "how is one wolf supposed to fight ten thosand elk? i'd like to see you try." he growled, getting anrgy.

Shoji looked up. "We are wolves. Predators to anything below us. Even elk." He padded back towards Dusk, staring at Scar. "If I were out there, it would have been a feast..but unfortunately..you two were there, but instead of hunting for them and possibly bringing your rank up you ran! Then someone got hurt..And nothing we- oops I mean you can do will bring her back.." Shoji turned away and went back into his tree.

Scar was filled with pulsing rage." ten thousand elk. One wolf can take an old, weak elk. Two wolves cannot take ten thousand!" he snarled. " I tried to save her. I chased that elk heard for miles, howling her name." he said." she will come back. I will look for her until I find her or die." he snarled.

Thorn laughed at their bickering. "Leoni is a barren land, never has there been a herd of ten thousand pass through these lands, at least not in a millennia that these lands have suffered a drought." Thorn looked at Scar. "The largest herd of elk we've ever had has been 200 and that was a very good year. Average her size is 50." She'd finished reaming off stats. "Even with a herd the size of 50 it is a job for the whole pack, you both were foolish to even take on a herd that size. A herd of 10,000 would be suicide for all the packs in these lands combined..."

Sullivan licked her pups clean gently as she could. Even now she was a mother it still wasn't in her nature to be so gentle and caring. If she was rough with them at this age they wouldn't grow up strong.

Shoji nodded at Thorn, agreeing with her. "My point exactly..anyway..if she's dead..it's her own falt for even sticking around..but..if it were me..I would've killed them all." He smurked. "But it was her, not me..besides when hasn't anyone in Leoni died?" He layed on his back. "Eh, It's normal. If I died, I don't think anyone would have to care.."

Night stayed awake, making sure Sullivan and the pups were ok. "Shadino.." He said radomly. "Wouldn't that be a good name for the boy? It was my father's name...He was harsh and a good leader." He looked at her. "You have any suggestions?"
