A gray male with tattered fur roamed the sandy plains of the desert. He was on a journey, he kept padding through the sand before he plopped down in the sand. His breathing slowed and his eyes started to close. He looked at the sun before fainting from exhaustion.

Lukia noticed a gray wolf passed out on the ground. She, too was very tired. She slowly picked him up and put him on her back. She walked slowly towards the sand ahead up of her. She then noticed a cave nearby. She ran towards it. Then she padded into it. It was half lit. She layed the male down gently. "You'll be safe here." Lukia howled for her mate to come to her.

The wolf squirmed around in her grasp. His eyes opened up with a fright "who are you?" he said startled by the wolf who brought him here. He shook sand from his fur and tried to continue padding out of the cave but fell down.

Kibura Heard Lukia howl for him and wondered what she had found. He was looking for some food for the two of them but He had to return to his mate empty pawed. He ran to Lukia and found her scent outside a cave. just as he was going to enter a Grey wolf started to run but then fell. Kibura growled "Who Are you?" He was suddenly protective of his mate.

Lukia smiled. "Please calm down.." Lukia was calm. "I'm Lukia. I saved you. I saw you passed out in the sand. I won't hurt you." Lukia started to giggle. She licked Kibura. "This wolf needs help Kibura. I thought that we both could help."

Kibura smiled at Lukia but would not let the stranger be alone with her. He licked her face but the turned his attention back to the stranger. "We will help if we can and if he wants the help."

"I don't need help" he growled. "You should have just left me out in the desert to die" he growled trying to get out of the cave. He fell down again into the dusty sand "dammit" he growled.

Lukia looked down. "I'm sorry..I just couldn't do that..leaving you behind..it would make me feel awful.." Lukia felt sad and ashamed of herself. "I was just trying to help you.."

Kibura growled at him. "That is no way to thank the wolf who was kind enough to save you. She could have just as easily just walked away and left you to the crows." He felt rage swell up inside of him. He looked at Lukia and licked her face trying to make her feel better. Kibura Went to the wolf and helped him up. In a kinder voice he said "please stay with us. We would like the company."

"No I could never, I am a loner no family and never will have one" he growled. "It would have been better if you had left me out there to die" he said coughing. His eyes were starting to give out again "I was going to...." he managed to force out those last words before fainting.

Kibura looked at Lukia and then picked the stranger up and brought him back into the cave. He laid the stranger down in the back of the cave and then turned to Lukia. "What do we do know? I do not want to just let him die and I know you don't but we also cant force him to stay either."

Lukia looked at the wolf. "I don't know Kibura. We'll head towards land tommorrow. If he want's to live he'll come." Lukia looked at the wolf. "If not..I guess he'll die.." She then layed beside him. "Night.."

Kibura hated the thought of that but he knew it was true. He laid down next to his mate and put a paw on hers. "night." he licked her face and then laid his head down and went to sleep.

The wolf awoke in the middle of the night. He looked at the two wolves, a tear dripped from his eye "no family" he said strugling to pad out of the cave. "I have to do this on my own" he said sadly.

Kibura Woke up when the stranger got up, and walked out of the cave. He even heard what the stranger said. He got up, trying not to wake Lukia, and followed.
